How many hours can a minor work in New York?

Minors in New York can work not more than 8 hours a day, six days out of a week. Minors are not allowed to work seven days a week in New York.

Minors between the ages of 14 and 15 are not allowed to work more than 40 hours in one week in New York. While minors between the ages of 16 and 17 are not allowed to work for more than 48 hours a week.

Minors are only allowed to work between the hours of 6 am and 10 pm when school is in session. When school is not in session, minors are allowed to work between the hours of 6 am and midnight.
