How many hours can you work on disability?
You can work any number of hours on disability; however, you can not make more than $1,350 per month in order to qualify. You also must have less than $2,000 in assets; for a couple, you must have less than $3,000 in assets.
Generally, disability recipients can not do what is referred to as substantial gainful activity (SGA) and receive benefits.
SGA means you are working and earning more than $1,350 per month. In the case of blind disability recipients, this is capped out higher at $2,260 per month.
