How to list a double major on a resume

You should list items in your education section in sequence, from most recent (appearing at the top or first) to least recent.

Within each entry, give the following information:

• College or University or other

• The year you graduated

• Your degree

• Your double major

• Additional academic achievements, like awards or certifications

Write out separate degrees if you have them

You should list each degree separately if you acquired more than one. Then include your double major information below the degree it corresponds to.

For example, if you have a bachelor's in business and a bachelor's in science, list out the degree you obtained most recently first, then below it the next one, and then include double major information below the degree it applies to.

Primary majors go first

When including a double major on a resume, it is important to always put your primary major first. This should be the major that most apply to the type of career you want to have or the specific position you want to obtain.

It also shows employers what your main focus is and what kind of skills and knowledge they can expect from you as a candidate.
