This question is about lot associate jobs.
Yes, being a lot associate is a good job. It's a good job for someone with no previous work experience and who enjoys the freedom of working outside much of the day. Lot associates are basically in charge of gates or parking lot areas around the store.
Typically, lot associates work in the morning and at night. Depending on the store, a lot associate may be needed throughout the day.
Some common duties of lot associates are to pick up any garbage outside the store and ensure that all the carts are cleaned and put away. Sometimes a lot associate is also responsible for helping people bring packages to their cars or drop off any special pickups.
The pros to the job are that you aren't glued to one location and have a little more freedom than the other associates. You're also not inside the store as much, so you don't have to deal with customers approaching you for questions, though you'll still get a share of that just from walking to the break room.
The cons to the job are that it can be very physically exhausting and monotonous. Not only can it be annoying to pick up stray carts assorted throughout the parking lot, but it's especially annoying when customers leave the carts in the corrals instead of placing them on the curb.
