What are craft services?

Craft services are food and beverage services usually associated with film, TV, and video production sets. Most film productions, whether in entertainment or advertising, have craft services departments.

Craft services provide the food that a production crew will eat during their breaks from filming. Craft services might include full meals from a catering company with a variety of options, and at other times craft services might only provide snacks, like fruit, granola bars, chips, and coffee.

Within the film industry, craft services have the nickname "crafty". In general, craft services are usually tented or indoors and exist at one or several tables located near a film set.
