You need a degree in interior design or architecture to be a kitchen designer. To become a kitchen designer, you will need a bachelor of sciences degree in interior design, architecture, or an equivalent field.

Depending on whether or not you'd like to further your education, you can also pursue a certificate from the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA).

During your time pursuing one of these degrees, you will acquire vital understandings of interior design techniques, such as color theory, construction procedure, and material usage, among other things.
