What does non-compliance mean?
Non-compliance means failure to act in accordance with a wish or demand. In business, this often means that a company is failing to act per specific laws or regulations for their company. This includes health codes, working conditions, and many other regulations.
If a company is non-compliant with a certain regulation, they may be given a short period to fix this and then continue with their business. This varies from company to company and from regulation to regulation, as some would immediately require all or part of a business to shut down.
