What should I study to become a sonographer?

By Zippia Team - Nov. 15, 2022

The most common way to become a sonographer is to complete a two-year training program in sonography offered through a junior college. After the completion of the training, you are awarded an associate's degree in sonography.

There are many other paths to becoming a sonographer, such as earning a bachelor's degree in sonography. If you are already trained in the medical field, it may be possible for you to complete an accreditation program that typically takes one year to 18 months to complete.
