Performs a variety of component assembly operations, using hand tools and mechanically assisted operations, to produced assembles CVJ's. Rotates among various stations to person sub-assembly operations on an assigned product line. Coordinated with other team members for efficient assembly. Learns the typical 25-30 component parts making each product assembly, through on-the-job training. PURPOSE The purpose of the position is to perform tasks to ensure all work instructions related to the assembly of standard SMC product and simple to complex specials are followed while directing the activities of an assigned value stream. This position will also possess the capability to perform basic problem solving and provide feedback for improvement to SMC management and assist in the training of established processes with less experienced assembly positions. In addition to assist in the training of established processes with less experience assembly positions, this position should also mentor these individuals in preparation for their movement to higher level positions.
