As a Care Attendant, you will join our team of professional caregivers to become an important part of our residents' lives. We are seeking and individual who is a team player, and who is also comfortable working independently. We will train you for this position!
Position Type: Part-Time (every other weekend)
Shifts: Day or Evening
Hours:
Day: 6:30 am to 2:30 pm
Evening: 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm
Pay Range: $18.17 - $22.28 / hour depending on experience
Float Differential: $2 more per hour

Care Attendant Responsibilities:
* Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence while assisting them with personal care and daily living activities. We do not use lifts.
* Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per individualized care plan.
* Take and record temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse and respiration as instructed. Report changes or concerns to the RN.
* Document services performed on computerized charting system.
* Observe resident and report any changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, reaction, and appetite, to the supervisor.
* Assist the resident with personal care which may include the following: shampooing of hair, assist with showering/ bathing, fingernail and foot care, and medication administration.
* Prepare and administer medications in accordance with Lake Ridge Assisted Living policies.
* Perform additional tasks as needed.
Care Attendant Qualifications:
* Caregiving experience preferred, but not required. We will train you for this position!
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Computer skills, ability to read, write and communicate clearly, self-motivated.
* Previous experience in a similar setting is a plus.
* A genuine desire to work with our elderly population.
* Must be 18 years or older to apply.

* Rostered for Ecclesiastical Endorsement for Specialized Ministry is encouraged, but is not required.

Trained Medication Aide (TMA) Qualifications:
* Current Minnesota Nursing Assistant certification required.
* Must hold current TMA certification in Minnesota.
* Strong communication skills to interact with residents and staff.
* Must be able to stand for length of 8-hour shift.

Apple Valley Villa, a Cassia community, is seeking dedicated Caregiver - Med Passers (CNA, HHA, PCA, or TMA) to join our team in Apple Valley, MN! At Apple Valley Villa, you'll be part of a supportive, mission-driven team that takes pride in making a difference every day for residents and families alike.
As a Caregiver - Med Passer at Apple Valley Villa, you will provide person-centered care to our residents, supporting them with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as showering/bathing, shampooing of hair and medication administration while promoting dignity, independence and well-being. This position is ideal for someone who truly wants to make a difference in the lives of others. You will be passing meds along with giving cares.
Position Type: Part-Time or Full-Time, benefits eligible position working a varying schedule
Shifts Available:
Days 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM (Part-Time or Full-Time)
Evenings 3:30 PM - 10:00 PM (Part-Time)
Wage Range: $17.00 - $22.00 / hour depending on experience
Location: 14610 Garrett Ave, Apple Valley, MN 55124
Caregiver Responsibilities:
* Provide routine nursing care and services to our residents
* Administer medications to residents as needed
* Communicate any resident concerns with licensed nursing staff
* Assist in resident emergencies
* Answer and transfer incoming phone calls as needed
* Perform additional tasks as required
Caregiver Qualifications:
* Med Passer experience preferred but not required
* HHA, PCA or CNA experience required
* Excellent customer service skills
* Ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak English fluently
* Strong computer skills
* Ability to work well with others
* A passion for fostering fullness of life for those we serve
* Selected candidates are required to pass background checks
* Must be 18 years or older
