Proven experience as a Bar Back.

Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Must attend orientation and agree to policies and procedures as outlined in the Twin Peaks training. Must attend and successfully complete the training program prior to working a shift without supervision. The Peace Center is a major nonprofit performing arts center serving a growing and sophisticated audience in Greenville, South Carolina. It is the dominant performing arts center in the State and region. Built on a six-acre campus with an aesthetic mix of new architecture and historic buildings, the campus is at the hub of Greenville's nationally recognized downtown.
The Peace Center venues include the 2,115-seat Peace Concert Hall, the 400-seat Gunter Theatre, the 1,400-capacity outdoor Peace Pavilion, Genevieve's Lounge, and the Huguenot Mill which includes two event spaces: the Ramsaur Studio and the Huguenot Loft. Opening in 2025 will be two additional music venues: the 250-seat Mockingbird (a listening room), and the 1150 capacity Coach Factory (flat floor club).
POSITION SUMMARY
Deliver exceptional beverage service at private and corporate events, ensuring an engaging and enjoyable experience for guests. Craft and serve a variety of cocktails, wines, and spirits with precision and professionalism while maintaining a fast-paced and organized bar setup. Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines, keep bar areas clean and stocked, and collaborate with event staff to uphold high service standards and a seamless event flow.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES (Include, but are not limited to)
Uphold the highest level of customer service.
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with standard drink recipes and the specific event requests.
Use pull sheets to accurately record inventory needs throughout the event.
Prepare garnishes for drinks.
Maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner.
Clear and reset bar area and glassware.
Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar.
Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures.
Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to Event Services Manager.
Assist with the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
Complete all other duties as assigned by the Event Captain.
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Welcome guests promptly and warmly as they are seated.
Explain daily featured items and respond knowledgeably to questions regarding menu.
Receive food and beverage orders. Accurately and promptly input order information into point of sales system.
Safely and accurately deliver food items to guests, regularly confirming satisfaction with quality of food and beverage items and service.
Accurately prepare check, receive payment, ensure guest satisfaction, and invite guests to return.
Communicate special instructions and unforeseen needs of guests to culinary staff in a clear, calm and respectful manner.
Perform daily opening, ongoing and closing side duties (e.g. ensure tables are set, prep items are well-stocked, and return items into proper place at end of shift.)
