The Mother-Baby Unit is a 50-bed unit, all privates located on the 5th floor of Mercy Hospital. The Mother-Baby unit serves mothers and their stable newborns, late preterm to term using a specially trained health-care team, as well as stable antepartum patients needing short to long term hospitalization. The major admitting diagnosis' include postpartum mothers experiencing vaginal deliveries and postoperative cesarean sections and their newborns, as well as pregnancy diagnoses' such as PIH, PROM, Gestational diabetes, and Placenta Previa. The service is provided 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
