Eric L. Keen

As chief executive officer, Eric is responsible for the leadership and strategic growth of our company and also serves as the chairman for the HDR Board of Directors. Eric became CEO in 2017 after previously serving as president and chief operating officer and engineering company president. A civil engineer by training, Eric has spent his 36-year career helping to develop and deliver some of the United States’ most notable transportation infrastructure projects, including the Whittier Access project in Prince William Sound, Alaska; the Legacy Parkway project in Salt Lake City, Utah; the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge in Charleston, South Carolina; and the world-renowned Hoover Dam Bypass. Eric joined us in 1993 in our Alaska office, where he became involved with major public-private and design-build projects and developed a passion for the use of alternative contracting methods. He was instrumental in establishing the firm’s transportation alternative delivery practice, which has since been involved in many high-profile projects such as the Oregon Bridge Delivery Program and the I-69 P3 Project in Indiana. In 2004, Eric was named the transportation business group director. Under his leadership, the transportation practice grew its planning, program management, design-build and management consulting services to complement an already strong design practice. Eric also oversaw a number of acquisitions across the United States, Canada and Australia, which expanded the firm’s capabilities and helped double the company’s size.

LEO A DALY

Leo A. Daly III is Chairman and CEO of LEO A DALY. He is the third generation of his family to lead the firm, which was founded in Omaha, Nebraska in July of 1915 by his grandfather, architect Leo A. Daly, Sr. Since becoming chairman and chief executive officer in 1981, Mr. Daly has built upon the foundation laid by his grandfather and father. He has expanded LEO A DALY’s global presence, and enlarged its client portfolio, while broadening the firm’s professional expertise and services. Mr. Daly has enthusiastically championed the firm’s core values of design excellence, creativity, innovation and client service. Mr. Daly holds professional registration as an architect in 48 states and the District of Columbia, as well as in Australia, Guam, the United Kingdom and the city of Berlin. He received his architectural degree from the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. A fellow of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Royal Australian Institute of Architects (RAIA), he holds professional memberships in the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). A champion of architecture’s role in fostering international relations, Mr. Daly has received several prestigious awards from foreign leaders including the Order of Independence, Knight/Commander from King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan; the title of “Commendatore,” conferred by the President of the Republic of Italy; and, the Silver Bauhinia Star from the Government of Hong Kong, SAR. Mr. Daly serves on the Trustees’ Council of the National Gallery of Art, the Board of Trustees of The Catholic University of America, the University of Nebraska Foundation, and as a Counselor of the Board of Directors of Meridian House International. He was formerly the Chairman of the Asia Society in Washington, DC and the Chairman of The Center for the Study of the Presidency, where he received its Franklin Delano Roosevelt Award.

Gregory A. Kelly was named president and chief executive officer of STV October 2020. Prior to joining STV, Kelly was the chief executive officer of Heritage Construction + Materials, a leading provider of asphalt products, aggregates, and construction services in the Midwest. Before this role, he was president and chief executive officer of WSP USA. While at WSP, he led a team of nearly 10,000 planners, engineers, scientists, and construction and program managers, undertaking major infrastructure projects for governments, public agencies, and private companies, worldwide. An active member of the industry, Kelly has been elected to the National Academy of Construction, and The Moles, as well as the Construction Industry Round Table. He has received many accolades throughout his career, including the 2019 American Consulting Engineer Council's Chair Emeritus Award, the 2017 Beverly Willis Foundation Award, the 2017 New York Building Congress Industry Recognition Award, the 2014 Engineering Excellence Award (Eagle Award) from the New Jersey Alliance for Action, Engineer of the Year by North Jersey Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers, New Principal of the Year by the New York Association of Civil Engineers, and the ACE Mentor of the Year. Kelly received a Bachelor of Science degree from Temple University and a master's degree in civil engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is a registered professional engineer in multiple states.
