The network also plans to discontinue its use of proclamations regarding its stature in promos, with chief marketing officer Michael Benson explaining that they aimed to "be something where people feel like they are part of the family. It's tough to unify if you’re bragging about yourself." These new elements are being rolled out in stages, with CBS News beginning to use them ahead of the 2020 presidential election, and CBS Sports launching the elements at Super Bowl LV.
In 2022, ViacomCBS changed its name to Paramount Global.
