Summary/objective: Steel Craft Technologies (SCT) is searching for CAD Operator/Detailer to join their team at their Belmont, MI plant!
Essential functions:
Receive e-mails from customers and sort through to determine appropriate course of action. (Routing)
Utilizing different cad software and open drawings sent by customers to analyze scope of work or download from FTP site.
Begin to determine required procedures such as machining, welding, burning, etc. Customer contact if necessary.
Quantify work by determining time required for task. Also material and components required.
Apply hourly rate for time estimation.
Obtain quotes for outside processes. Send data out.
If inquiry turns to an order create 2D drawing files for production. Check drawings and other data to match work order.
Act as liaison between customer and shop production helping to answer questions and provide as much tech support as possible.
Required competency, education, and experience:
Candidate must have high school or equivalent education.
Candidate must have at least 2 years experience with CAD Software (either college courses or trade school).
Candidate must have good communication and people skills.
Candidate must be able to present a professional demeanor suitable for this position.
Candidate must have good organizational skills and be capable of performing the responsibilities listed above.
Preferred competency, education, and experience:
Knowledge of stamping dies and fabrications a plus.

Within the first 12 months, the Associate System Operator is training to obtain a HVD or LVD certification.After obtaining certification, Associate System Operators will be able to independently monitor, analyze and control CE's electric grid 24/7 to ensure system reliability and timely customer restoration in accordance with all applicable ECCM procedures, NERC standards and regulatory requirements. Associate System Operators are responsible for CE's High Voltage Distribution (HVD) and Low Voltage Distribution (LVD) Substations and Lines, Metro Underground Distribution Network, Grid Automation Schemes, and interconnection points with Generation and Transmission providers for both normal and emergency conditions. Associate System Operators administer switching and tagging orders and issue worker conditions, clearances and/or protections in accordance with the ECCM. Associate System Operators utilize SCADA systems to monitor, analyze and control the electric system remotely.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Respond and direct field resources during emergent outages on the electric system; conducts necessary activities to support customer and equipment restoration as required per the ECCM.
Successfully complete all HVD Operator certification or LVD Operator certification training requirements which includes classroom training, OJT assessments, and simulator tests in 12 months or less.
Administer all types of scheduled outages on the electric system; directs field personal when removing/returning electric equipment from/to service, and issues the appropriate working conditions, clearances and/or protections as required per the ECCM.
Utilizes SCADA and computer systems required to perform System Operator duties; Operates SCADA devices remotely when required.
Reviews scheduled and emergent switching and tagging orders for accuracy and compliance.
Maintain a HVD or LVD certification; successful completion of all continuing training requirements.
Position works a rotating 24/7 shift including nights, weekends, and holidays; includes a on-call assignment. Fill open shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays to maintain minimum control room staffing levels; Overtime necessary at times to support system and customer restoration.

Job title: CAD Operator/Detailer
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Supervisory responsibilities: None.
Summary/objective: Steel Craft Technologies (SCT) is searching for CAD Operator/Detailer to join their team at their Belmont, MI plant!
Essential functions:
Receive e-mails from customers and sort through to determine appropriate course of action. (Routing)
Utilizing different cad software and open drawings sent by customers to analyze scope of work or download from FTP site.
Begin to determine required procedures such as machining, welding, burning, etc. Customer contact if necessary.
Quantify work by determining time required for task. Also material and components required.
Apply hourly rate for time estimation.
Obtain quotes for outside processes. Send data out.
If inquiry turns to an order create 2D drawing files for production. Check drawings and other data to match work order.
Act as liaison between customer and shop production helping to answer questions and provide as much tech support as possible.
Required competency, education, and experience:
Candidate must have high school or equivalent education.
Candidate must have at least 2 years experience with CAD Software (either college courses or trade school).
Candidate must have good communication and people skills.
Candidate must be able to present a professional demeanor suitable for this position.
Candidate must have good organizational skills and be capable of performing the responsibilities listed above.
Preferred competency, education, and experience:
Knowledge of stamping dies and fabrications a plus.
Work environment: Office setting in a manufacturing environment.
Physical demands:
Sitting for long periods
Must be able to use hand and fingers to type and use mouse
Must be able to look at computer screen for 8 hours a day
Must be able to speak, write, and type in English
Position type and expected hours of work: Full time. 8:00 am - 5:00 pm / optional hours 7:00 am - 4:00 pm with approval.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
* Technical/Engineering degree or equivalent applicable professional experience.
* Minimum 3 years experience with CAD software programs.
* Familiar with architectural, electrical, mechanical and plumbing documentation a plus, but not required.

The System Operator will Set-up, adjust, and operate automated assembly equipment. Works in a team environment on shop floor by performing the following duties.
SYSTEM OPERATOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Review faults on HMI screens and follow proper steps for quick fault recovery
* Escalate ongoing issues to Maintenance Technicians to ensure optimal machine efficiency
* Troubleshoot root causes of scrap and machine downtime
* Observe machine bottlenecks and escalate to production leadership
* Utilize HMI data collection to identify improvement opportunities
* Assist Maintenance Technicians with ongoing preventative maintenance
* Monitor scrap rates and enter electronically into JDE
* Disassembles sprinklers and components for salvage of parts
* Inspects and packages sprinklers to Viking quality standards
* Test sprinklers according to approval laboratory guidelines
* Change tooling using hand tools and set-up for changeovers
* Set-up, adjusts and qualifies automated equipment
* Handle and pull any material necessary for cell, including some fork truck operation
* Performs all aspects of the cell to optimize and maintain optimum production.
* Rotates throughout the assembly and assists each member of the cell when needed.
* Completes all necessary documents for both the Quality system and for production planning.
* Cleans and maintains cell daily.
* Lift up to 40lbs on occasion and 25lbs on a regular basis.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
SYSTEM OPERATOR REQUIREMENTS:
* High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Knowledge is needed of business processes such as basic accounting procedures, operation of equipment such as bookkeeping, computeroperations, and MS Office Suite.
* Requires the ability to understand and carry out assigned responsibilities effectively, using both verbal and non-verbal communication.
