Responsible for managing the day-to-day field operations to ensure the standards of the contract are met in a cost-effective, safe and efficient manner. The Project Superintendent holds overall responsibility for operations and maintenance of the project. Verifies work, interprets the contract, and gives direction and advice on schedules and subcontractor work to the Zone Superintendents. The Project Superintendent works in collaboration with the Project Manager to coordinate the development, implementation, and evaluation of a services plan consistent with the identified needs of the client and the contract. Responsibilities Manages his or her Zone Superintendents to ensure completion of condition assessment of pavements, signs, guardrails, bridges, vegetation, tunnels, and other contract requirements. Serves as technical advisor to their Zone Supers and Sub Contractors. Reviews work schedules received from Zone Supers checking budgets, timelines and safe operations once approved briefs PM. on scheduled work. Inspects in-process and reviews completed work with QC. to ensure compliance with contract requirements. Acts as a communication link between the Project Manager and operations personnel. Ensures direct reports are actively supervising, scheduling, and evaluating personnel. Coach direct reports on management techniques. Obtains, inspects, and controls fleet (maintenance, fuel cards, etc.). Manage, monitor, and controls project assets and materials. Responsible for proper work reporting, timesheets, budgeting, and other systems. Prepares reports and correspondence as necessary. Ensures data in the MMIS is accurate. Reviews and works with the Admin. on customer service logs and ensures correct and timely resolutions. Safety comes first! Required to complete work in a safe, efficient and accurate manner. Project Manager Accountability for the overall project and ultimately responsible for providing project management, creation of project risk management and project controls plans, and participation in all phases of a construction life cycle. Reports directly to the Owner's Project Manager. Main liaison between the customer and project design and operations team. Involved in all construction projects from design and new construction to modifications of existing infrastructures. Reviews and approves all project plans and documents. Owns the pre-construction effort and approves all bid package RFP's, subcontractor pre-qualifications, statements of work, and construction estimates to establish project budgets. The Assistant Superintendent is responsible to support the Superintendent or Senior Superintendent in one or more operational areas of a construction project. This position may support the coordination and scheduling of multiple construction crews, helps to determine construction requirements, plans procedures, and ensures subcontract work meets required specifications. The position will also participate in the inspection of work and equipment to verify safety and ensure project operations specifications are met. In this role you may be required to travel up to 100% of the time. **Responsibilities:** + Assist Superintendents with monitoring of the project schedule and budget and work with superintendents to maintain and update. Coordinate with the subcontractor's office for recovery plans where necessary, meet regularly with staff and subcontracts to discuss progress, obstacles, challenges and assist in removing barriers to completing work. + Assist in coordinating daily operational objectives, timelines, and goals. + Coordinate inspections and participate in the examination and inspection of work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met. + Read construction documents to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures. + Record and maintain information and produce reports such as personnel, production, project logs, status and other operational data. Assist in making decisions regarding start up/shut down issues on assigned projects and instruct crew members accordingly. + Conduct periodic job site safety inspections and audits. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: · Lead and manage multiple crews to ensure that production rates are achieved in line with the budget. · Attend client project meetings and negotiate the timing of change requests in cooperation with the PM team. · Ensure all equipment, forms, shoring, etc. is removed from the site to optimize usage and control project costs. · Validate that F&B standard means and methods are used to ensure all quality targets are achieved. · Validate Grades and evaluations are accurate. · Maintain a rolling 4-week look ahead for manpower needs on all assigned projects. · Daily communication with PM on job progress and identifying any issues that require resolution. · Pour card validation. · Validate Miss Dig/811/One Call has been completed for all projects. · Validating equipment utilization and driving optimization when feasible. · Validate all punch list items are completed. · Communicate with owners and owner's representatives on a consistent basis. · Resolve conflicts and disputes to minimize delays and claims. · Instruct and enforce field staff on the processes, policies, and procedures essential to the project. · Ensure job clean-up and demobilization tasks are finished once work is completed. · Understand and apply the Company's labor relations policies. Communicating and upholding the Company's commitment to Integrity and Code of Ethics, as well as ensuring the same for the entire team. · Other relevant tasks as assigned.
