Before joining Cooley Dickinson Health Care as President and CEO in 2014, she served as Chief Operating Officer/Executive Vice President at Hallmark Health, which is comprised of acute care hospitals Lawrence Memorial of Medford and Melrose-Wakefield of Melrose as well as a VNA-Hospice and a number of community-based sites.

Before joining Hallmark Health, Joanne was senior vice president, operations, at Harvard-affiliated Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, where she led both clinical and non-clinical departments and held a series of progressively responsible positions starting in 1992. Earlier in her career, Joanne held positions in government, including at the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation and the New York State Department of Health. She earned a bachelor’s degree in linguistics at Cornell University and a master of public policy degree from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
