Cornerstone Schools company history timeline

1996

In August 1996, the Massachusetts Department of Education and the Northborough School Committee, with the affirmative recommendation of School Superintendent Robert Melican, approved the curriculum and the doors opened at Cornerstone Academy with only two children.

Cornerstone Academy was founded in 1996 when the director, Karen McQuade, followed a dream to start her own school.

1998

The two boards came together to open Cornerstone Community School in the fall of 1998! There were 23 students that first year with students in the First, Second, and Third grades.

2005

The new campus, called Cornerstone Beulah Christian Academy, opened in the fall of 2005, serving 95 students in Pre-K through Sixth grade.
