Duties Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the Cath Lab Tech is to provide assistance with patient care in the cardiac catheterization lab (CCL) through the provision of technical assistance to the cardiac catheterization team.
Provides direct, safe, competent and quality patient care in the Interventional Cardiology department.
Assists in the performance of various invasive cardiac or peripheral vascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Sustains a high level of patient care by communication with the patients, families, and physicians and co-works to address the physical, general and psychosocial needs of the patient.
Functions under the direction and immediate supervision of the cardiologist/radiologist performing the procedure.
Assists cardiologist during procedures by operating ancillary equipment, anticipating and obtaining catheters, wires and other necessary inventory and medications as ordered.
Assure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and accepted practiced guidelines.
Delivers quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner.
Works effectively to maintain an environment of excellence, which is patient-focused, providing timely, compassionate, quality patient care.
Promotes and maintains a safe work environment for both staff and customers, incorporating national patient safety initiatives.
Prepare and update patient records accurately and legibly.

Duties Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the Cath Lab Tech is to provide assistance with patient care in the cardiac catheterization lab (CCL) through the provision of technical assistance to the cardiac catheterization team.
Provides direct, safe, competent and quality patient care in the Interventional Cardiology department.
Assists in the performance of various invasive cardiac or peripheral vascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Sustains a high level of patient care by communication with the patients, families, and physicians and co-works to address the physical, general and psychosocial needs of the patient.
Functions under the direction and immediate supervision of the cardiologist/radiologist performing the procedure.
Assists cardiologist during procedures by operating ancillary equipment, anticipating and obtaining catheters, wires and other necessary inventory and medications as ordered.
Assure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and accepted practiced guidelines.
Delivers quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner.
Works effectively to maintain an environment of excellence, which is patient-focused, providing timely, compassionate, quality patient care.
Promotes and maintains a safe work environment for both staff and customers, incorporating national patient safety initiatives.

Job Summary:
The Regional Pharmacy Operations Compliance Technician provides ongoing operational, procedural and sterile compounding support (education, training, competencies and best practices in the Vital Care Way) to the Franchise pharmacies. This role is responsible for completing ongoing, onsite surveillance and monitoring of Franchise pharmacies within the company, including pharmacy operations, nursing (if applicable), administrative/clerical, and sales in compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies and procedures. The Regional Pharmacy Operations Compliance Technicians collect and report on the Franchise pharmacy through a Franchise checklist, Accreditation readiness tools, Quality Site Assessment, and other Franchisor metric tools and report to the Regional Director of Pharmacy Operations for further follow-up. Maintains communications with Vital Care Infusion corporate offices on infusion and specialty business. The Regional Pharmacy Operations Compliance Technicians provide feedback on policy, process, and techniques to franchise pharmacies to reinforce compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as Vital Care policies and procedures. The Regional Pharmacy Operations Compliance Technicians reviews and recommends improvements in the activities of all franchise pharmacy personnel, as well as quality control, creation, completion and updating of performance improvement procedures, monitoring, tracking, and trending of outcomes, and education of support staff under the supervision of the Regional Director of Pharmacy Operations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Operational and Performance Improvement Related:
Performance of pharmacy operations assessment activities assessing compliance with regulatory, accreditation and ethical standards and assuring activities are in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
Review of pharmacy Performance Improvement and outcomes reporting and collection and monitoring, tracking and trending of results for continuous performance improvement.
Demonstrates sound operational knowledge, leadership, and stewardship attributing to the provision of support to the Franchise pharmacies driving key objectives and results.
Uses available resources to gather information on the appropriateness of activities related to medication dispensing, compounding of sterile preparations, equipment use, and patient management/monitoring in the home and alternate site of care.
Demonstrates understanding of USP 797/800 standards, accreditation standards, and current State Board of Pharmacy (BOP) regulations.
Observes, monitors, and assesses compliance with accreditation standards and performs Quality Site Assessments at franchise locations.
Acts as a resource to support franchise owners and staff, driving high-quality patient care and efficient operations at franchise locations.
Stays knowledgeable of current industry practices and incorporates them into the support provided throughout the organization.
Assists with employee orientation and preceptor responsibilities as needed.
Completes assignments as directed in a timely manner.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Coordinate the safety, security and supervision of the clients and the facility outside of treatment hours.
Implement agency safety policies in case of emergencies, such as medical or fire and contact the on call supervisor during emergencies in the absence of a counselor, or Program Director.
Interact with clients in a manner demonstrating democracy and emotional intelligence and assist with problem solving in daily living activities.
Answer the program business telephone according to federal and state confidentiality laws and program policies.
Protect client confidentiality at all times according to 42 CFR Part 2 and agency program policies within and outside the program.
Report to work promptly at assigned time.
Provide holiday, weekend, evening and overnight coverage as scheduled.
Attend and actively participate in supervision sessions.
Specific to Detox Center
All shifts at the Center require to RT's be up and awake at all times
Plans and prepares nutritional meals for the clients in accordance with the established menu plan
Maintains a safe, clean and healthy environment through housekeeping duties including changing bed linens, dusting and vacuuming, cleaning kitchen, bathrooms and common areas, and completing laundry for both clients' and Center. Terminal and deep cleaning activities are completed by the RT per the established schedule
Assisting client's with their Activities of Daily Living as necessary
Observing and reporting any changes in the client's behaviors or increasing symptoms of withdrawal to the RN right away
Providing companionship and stimulation for the clients including having conversations, setting up activities, music, recovery videos, crafts etc.
Assisting with obtaining vital signs, urine specimens, and alcohol breathalyzer testing as needed
PERFORMANCE FACTORS:
After one month of orientation employee will have a basic understanding of substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders. (NADAC training completed and passed)
After one month of orientation employee will have a basic understanding of what a trauma informed environment is and how they help ensure emotional safety for the clients. (NAADAC training completed and passed)
After one month of orientation employee should have a working knowledge of what Motivational Interviewing is and why it supports a trauma informed environment and, be actively practicing it with clients, other staff and their supervisor.(need to identify intro training)
Have a desire and ability to relate maturely and professionally with those recovering from substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders.
Completed, or will complete, certification for CPR and Basic First Aid training by Wellspring or another recognized authority within 30 days of hire.
Completed, or will complete, 40 hours of orientation training as required by State Licensing and MaineCare before working independently.
