He is also an active instructor and mentor in McCarthy’s leadership development program and advocate for diversity in the industry, with a focus on encouraging and supporting women in construction careers. Ray displays great passion and commitment to the construction industry, as well as to the community. He plays an active role through his involvement with the American Heart Association, among others, and is also involved with various industry organizations.

Mike Hoover became President of Sundt in 2015, and CEO in 2016. Prior to that Mike managed the company’s Heavy Civil, Mining & Industrial and Concrete groups and oversaw Sundt’s safety/quality operations. He is active on several industry boards of directors, among them: Construction Industry Round Table (CIRT); Greater Phoenix Leadership (GPL) Board of Directors; The Beavers, past President, current Board of Directors; Council On Competitiveness, Member and National Commissioner; Construction Industry Safety Initiative (CISI); Associated General Contractors (AGC) Past Chairman, life Director; University of Arizona Foundation, National Leadership Council Member; The Road Information Program (TRIP). He began his career with Sundt as a laborer in 1978.
