Our DirectSupportProfessionals have the ability to assist persons served with developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses, and behavioral issues in a residential setting providing support and encouragement to work towards outcomes and goals to gain life skills. We have a variety of full time and part time shifts available throughout the metro area.
Duties and Responsibilities
Job duties and responsibilities of the position vary to meet the needs of persons served but may include:
Meal planning/preparation.
Facilitation of community activities by using company vehicles.
Assisting with personal and medical cares (helping with dressing, bathing, etc.)
Behavior management.
Medication administration.
Available Shifts
We have three shift types available all seven days of the week:
Mornings- 6am-2pm
Evenings- 2pm-10pm
Overnights (Awake or Asleep)- 10pm-6am

The full salary grade for this position is $88,800 - $152,300. While the full salary grade is provided, the typical hiring salary range for this role is expected to be between $88,800 - $133,245. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data. The shelter is currently open to residents 24/7. The program will transition to a medical respite shelter. Our cohesive team works together to provide services that offer dignity and hope. Our Saviour's Housing is a program of Our Saviour's Community Services.

This Role: The Shelter Worker provides basic direct services to adult emergency shelter guests of Our Saviour's Housing and works to ensure that the shelter is clean, safe, and welcoming for all guests, volunteers, and community members. Working Conditions:
The DirectSupportProfessional is subject to flexible hours, including split shifts, varied days and times, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnights, depending on coverage needs of the site and the company. This position may be expected to cover other sites. This position will travel regularly into the community and work in a variety of settings both inside and outside the site and throughout the community. The DirectSupportProfessional is subject to frequent interruptions and imposed deadlines. This person sits, walks, bends, lifts, reaches, and moves intermittently during working hours.
This person is subject to frequent problem-solving activities and has regular contact with individuals, family members, friends, and the general public, who may be hostile or emotionally upset. The position may be subject to physically aggressive individuals and may be exposed to infectious diseases, odor, and dust.
