General The DirectSupportProfessional (DSP) - Community Living Supports is responsible for providing individualized services that promote independence, informed choice, personal growth, and community participation for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Supports occur in the person's home, neighborhood, or broader community and are delivered in accordance with the Individual Support Plan (ISP), Oregon Administrative Rule (OAR) 411-450, and Shangri-La policies and procedures. These services are intended to be flexible and responsive to the person's unique strengths, preferences, and needs.
Position Details:
Status: Part Time up to 29 Hours
Location: Salem, OR
Shift: This position has varying hours including weekends and evenings and must have on-call availability
Starting wage: $20.14 Hourly
Wage Scale: $20.14 to $25.48Report to: CES - Manager
Knowledge:
Knowledge: A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. One year of experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Candidates must have a valid Oregon Driver's License, an acceptable driving record, and must be able to pass a criminal background check. A strong understanding of person-centered planning, alternative communication strategies, the principles of dignity of risk, and the ability to implement trauma-informed support practices is preferred. The DSP must be proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of learning and using current and future electronic documentation systems and workplace technologies.

· Must maintain current Oregon driver's license and insurance. Must have own reliable vehicle to meet participants in the community, as the position requires a lot of driving.
