    The position of Procurement Category Director has responsibility for supporting the commercial and financial objectives of IHG through the execution of our procurement strategy. The successful applicant will be an experienced team leader, a strong business partner able to understand and enable critical objectives of senior leaders in IHG's Commercial & Technology organization, and a seasoned procurement professional with a background in information technology and a deep understanding of IT Services. The successful candidate will have the ability to lead cross-functional teams of stakeholders and direct reports by using effective category management, sourcing execution and supplier relationship management practices. This position will report to the VP, Commercial &Technology Procurement.

    Additionally, this role will collaborate with and support IHG's Guest Products & Platforms team, which sits within the Commercial & Technology (C&T) organization, while also working with the entirety of C&T and other parts of the business that have needs for IT Services. Guest Products & Platforms provide an exciting array of products and services designed to enhance our guests' interaction with IHG hotels, including our recently redesigned mobile app along with supporting the technological enablement of our enhanced Loyalty program, IHG One Rewards.

    Additional capabilities and responsibilities for the role are noted below:

    + Category Scope - Direct responsibility for the development and delivery of whole life Category Strategies for a portfolio of categories and supplier relationships which are complex, dynamic and challenging
