Summary:
The position of Van Driver/Warehouse is responsible for all aspects of customer delivery including packing orders for delivery, mapping delivery routes, handling delivery paperwork, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining the delivery vehicle and maintenance records. This person is also involved in warehouse functions including receiving material, maintaining warehouse organization, shipping materials, and preparing customer orders. In addition, the Van driver/Warehouse will work with other branches to ensure customers from across the network receive a consistently high level of service.
Essential Job Functions:
Drive safely and follow all traffic regulations.
Inspect and maintain vehicle safety.
Always maintain cleanliness of the Company vehicle.
Check in and put up stock.
Help maintain cleanliness of warehouse.
Pull orders for deliveries.
Back up counter guys with orders and customers on the counter.
Assist in counting on Stock Take.
Communicate customer feedback to the Branch Manager.
Education/Experience:
Valid driver's license required.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Currently certified in CPR, First Aid and AED, or obtain within 60 days of hire.
Ability to relate to Y members in a positive manner.
Must be a highly-motivated person with leadership ability and strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate and listen effectively as well as a willingness to learn.
Exposure to skills to be taught, informal or on the job training; equivalent to two years of high school.
Thorough knowledge of exercise science is ideal; including functional anatomy, exercise physiology, nutrition and injury prevention.
Understanding of YMCA mission and cause is required.
Multi-lingual ability is preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Ability to walk, stand, and sit (including on the floor) for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift and carry food and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.
Must be able to assist participant weighing up to 180 pounds
Ability to stand or sit while maintaining alertness for several hours at a time.
Position may require bending, leaning, kneeling, and walking.
Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate.
Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations and physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency.
Salary Description $13.50-$14.60 depending on experience
