This role primarily supports concerts, athletic events, exhibits, and other live venue activities. Responsibilities
Communicate clearly and timely with Operations and Facilities staff regarding work issues, priorities, and status updates.
Install, operate, monitor, and dismantle show power, shore power, and temporary electrical distribution systems for events and venue configurations.
Coordinate temporary power needs for event production, broadcast, vendors, and athletic operations.
Ensure all temporary and event-related electrical systems comply with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and venue requirements.
Inspect, test, maintain, and repair event-related electrical cords, cables, connectors, and power distribution equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve power issues during live events to minimize operational disruptions.
Provide on-site electrical support before, during, and after events.
Assist with electrical repairs or upgrades related to event readiness as required.
Support event setup and breakdown activities, including but not limited to electrical services.
Maintain required clearances around electrical panels, transformers, switchgear, and related infrastructure.
Train and support operations staff on electrical requirements and best practices for event operations.

Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits, fixtures, and equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
Diagnose electrical defects, including short circuits, loose connections, damaged wiring, and worn components.

Safely operate maintenance and access equipment, including forklifts and scissor lifts.
Perform all duties in accordance with safety standards, facility goals, and energy conservation practices.

A state-of-the-art, multi-purpose facility, the Thomas M. Ryan Center, located on the University of Rhode Island campus in scenic South County, opened its doors in June 2002. Home to URI Men's and Women's Basketball programs, the Ryan Center also features the URI football teams' locker room, along with athletic department offices, training rooms, players' lounges and a souvenir store. The role of KES Technician is to perform full installations of our Demand Control Kitchen Ventilation system (DCKV) in commercial kitchens. By adjusting these units, these commercial kitchens save a tremendous amount of energy in their electrical, heating, and cooling usage. The KES Technician is the company's direct representative and will be responsible for properly executing the installation of these systems ensuring complete system functionality at the end of the project. KES Technicians will work together in teams of two to accomplish these tasks on each jobsite.
This work involves, but not limited to, the following scope of work:
Installing various sensors directly to the kitchen hoods (drilling into stainless steel).
Installing Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) to modulate the associated exhaust fans along with the proper power wiring (120V/1), (208V/3), (460V/3) as needed.
Installing and wiring new fan motors as needed.
Installing and wiring new exhaust fans as needed, and other associated low voltage wiring.
The KES Technician will program and commission the DCKV system and train the customer on functionality and usage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced HVAC Technician to join our team! In this role, you will assist in the installation, service, or repair of heating and air conditioning systems in residences or commercial establishments.
You have past experience in an HVAC service technician role and hold an EPA certification. A team player who is comfortable working independently, you love the feeling of a job well done and take pride in completing customer jobs with efficiency. A positive attitude is a must!
Responsibilities:
Assist in the repair or service heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to improve efficiency, such as by changing filters, cleaning ducts, or refilling non-toxic refrigerants
Establish customer rapport to ensure the highest levels of satisfaction
Test pipe or tubing joints or connections for leaks, using a pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution
Test electrical circuits or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment
Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring
Cleaning and maintaining a worksite and assist Master licensed technician with job.
On the job learning and continuing education outside of work
Qualifications:
Past experience as an HVAC service technician or comparable education
Valid Drivers License
EPA Certification
OSHA 10 or higher
Experience with operation and maintenance of chillers, heat pumps, air handlers, and geothermal systems
Ability to climb ladders, crawl, and lift 40 pounds

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
System Installation & Repair: Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems for both homes and businesses.
Panel Upgrades: Installing and upgrading electrical panels to meet current code requirements and boost power capacity.
Load Calculations: Performing precise load calculations to ensure electrical systems are properly designed and meet all capacity needs.
