Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead Manufacturing Engineering Operations
Lead Manufacturing Engineering and CNC Programming teams to plan, prioritize, and execute projects aligned with business objectives.

Manufacturing Process & Technology Leadership

Lead Design for Manufacturability (DFM/DFA) initiatives in partnership with Design Engineering to optimize cost, quality, delivery, and margins.
Oversee routing, tooling, fixtures, jigs, CAM systems, and process documentation.
Track, analyze, and report departmental and company KPIs.
Quality, Safety, and Compliance
Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions to reduce scrap, rework, and quality issues.
Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement, including 6S practices.
Partner with EHS to ensure manufacturing processes comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
People Leadership & Development
Manage, coach, and develop Manufacturing Engineering and Programming staff through clear expectations, feedback, performance management, and mentoring.
Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and respectful work environment that encourages knowledge sharing and professional growth.
Identify training needs, delegate effectively, and support succession and leadership development.

Qualifications
Education:

As a systems integrator, Taurus Controls Group scope of work on a typical project will include industrial control panel design, instrumentation selection, preparation of submittal / O&M documentation, oversight of control panel construction, PLC/VFD/HMI/SCADA programming, control panel testing, onsite startup, and customer training. A significant portion of the work we do as a systems integrator supports the municipal water / wastewater industry.
Education and Experience Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Drivers license with the ability to be insured under the company insurance program.
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls/Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineeringor a related technical discipline preferred; equivalent industry experience accepted.
10+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls, or systems integration; municipal water/wastewater sector strongly preferred
Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and implementing industrial control systems including PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and control panel layouts
Strong working knowledge of instrumentation selection, panel fabrication, and electrical schematics interpretation and production
5+ years of leadership experience in managementor leadership role within an engineeringor controls team.
Full understanding of the role and responsibilities of a systems integrator within industrial and municipal environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; adept at resolving technical challenges during design, construction, and startup

Duties and Responsibilities
The EngineeringManagers primary responsibility is to ensure that all members of the engineering group have sufficient instruction, training, and access to resources to be successful in their roles for the work they are assigned. The main duties of the EngineeringManager are to review new projects, assign tasks, answer technical questions, and review the work of others as part of a collaborative effort to produce timely and accurate engineering deliverables.

If selected for this position, you will oversee the Transportation Engineering programs within the Transportation Services line of business. These programs perform work that includes road and bridge capital project design and construction, right-of-way acquisition, traffic engineering, transportation surveying, road statute administration and motor carrier enforcement. In this role, you will be responsible for all program operations and provide direction to supervisory, professional, technical and administrative support personnel.
Required Minimum Qualifications/ Transferrable Skills:*
* A minimum of six (6) years of experience in a related field that would provide the required knowledge and skills to perform the responsibilities of this position

WORK SCHEDULE

What You'll Bring:
Required Experience and Education
Minimum of 15 years' experience in the electric utility industry performing engineering related duties and/ormanagement for high voltage electrical projects.
Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) or Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
P.E. license required.
Proven track record of successfully leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Strong technical expertise in structural, civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering, with a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles and practices.
Expert knowledge of electric utility engineering and construction standards.
Advanced knowledge of utility industry processes including scheduling, contracts, coordinating and managing all disciplines.
Excellent business acumen and experience managing departmental budgets.
Knowledge of process and procedures for project controls and estimates.
Experience interpreting internal and external business issues, recommending best practices, mitigating risk and solving complex problems.
Demonstrated experience supporting external customers.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, drive innovation, and achieve business objectives.
Knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations, including ANSI, ASTM, ACI, AISC, NEC, NESC, and others.
Able to deal with ambiguity and ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and determine priorities in a complex environment.
Travel Requirements:
