Scope of Responsibilities Internal Key Opinion Leader Remain current on advancements in neural sensing, biosignal analytics, machine learning, and clinical applications. Partner closely with research, engineering, and product teams to identify compelling algorithmic opportunities, prototype them, validate performance, and facilitate translating successful approaches into production code. Provide detailed input to hardware and software teams regarding product requirements, sensing constraints, and clinical application needs. Algorithm & ML Developer Design and execute data-collection protocols to advance Cognixion's neurotechnology platform, including EEG, EMG, EOG, and multimodal biosensing. Analyze data using modern scientific and ML workflows: NumPy/SciPy, Pandas, MNE-Python, MATLAB, scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, and associated visualization libraries (Matplotlib, Plotly, Seaborn). Prototype and implement algorithms in Python, Java, or other mainstream languages as appropriate. Apply classical and advanced signal-processing techniques, including filtering, ICA/PCA, spectral and time-frequency methods, adaptive and spatial filtering, artifact reduction, and model-based approaches. Explore and implement machine-learning and deep-learning models for classification, regression, decoding, multimodal fusion, and real-time inference. Contribute to medical-grade codebases using best practices for reliability, version control, testing, and documentation. Skills & Experience PhD or equivalent experience in engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, neuroscience, or related technical fields. Equivalent industrial experience may be considered; a technical assessment may be required. 10+ years of industry R&D experience, ideally with direct exposure to neurotechnology or bio-signal-based medical products. Demonstrated success shipping at least one product, preferably within regulated medical, neural interface, sensing, or wearable systems. Strong publication and/or patent record showing impactful innovation. Experience translating early-stage research into commercializable, validated product features. Direct experience with biomedical signals (EEG, EMG, EOG, or other non-invasive modalities), data collection, and human-subject experimentation. Hazardous Waste Technician SEASON: February - April SECTOR/DEPT: Six Mile, LLC Antarctica ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the collection, processing and packaging of all hazardous waste, including legal classification, required packaging and proper labeling of all containers. Ability to be extremely detail oriented and meet a high level of quality control regarding highly regulated USAP hazardous wastes. Ability to learn and follow all ACA, EPA, NRC, IMDG, DOT, State, rules and regulations regarding hazardous wastes being shipped. Ability to complete all documentation and tracking to a high degree of accuracy. Perform certain classification qualitative testing on items (pH testing, flash point testing, etc.) Perform safe operation of an articulating forklift. Quality checks all shipping containers and correct discrepancies immediately. Assist the Solid Waste Department as needed. Ability to supply manual labor (shoveling) for several hours if needed. Regular use of drum dollies, cargo straps, banding, shovels, pallet jacks, power tools and other tools. Position requires constant physical activity, including bending, consistently lifting and carrying 50 - 70 lbs reaching and gripping. Agrees with and adheres to the Standard Operating Procedures and tasking responsibilities of the Waste department. Able to work in a team unit composed of diverse personalities. Displays self-motivation in physically challenging and atypical work environment; position is comprised of approximately 70% outdoor tasking. Able to maintain flexibility and positive attitude in a dynamic, fast-paced work setting. Performs duties in support of Operations Division metrics (as provided by supervisor) Supports the achievement of ASC metrics, whether metrics are directly or indirectly, effected by this position's work activities. Complies with all ASC Environmental Health & Safety, and Quality Assurance, requirements and goals. Provides documentation to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation. Works to achieve ASC goals and contractual commitments. Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
