Provides direct resident care, completes assignments as a universal worker, assists in maintaining a positive physical and psychosocial environment for residents, and upholds Prestige's core values of respect, integrity, commitment and trust. Life Launch Direct Support Professionals (DSP-LL) provide supports to a variety of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to facilitate a safe, independent, and enriched lifestyle in their homes, places of employment, and communities. You may assist with building someone's community connections, health & safety needs, money management, everyday life necessities (shopping, cooking, cleaning, etc), and helping someone go out and have fun! DSP-LLs are excited to go to work, reliable, patient, and a great communicator. As a DSP-LL, you will walk in partnership with the people you support toward a life of opportunity, well-being, freedom, and contribution. All DSP-LLs must be able to drive their own vehicle at work and be reimbursed for mileage. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and transfer 25 pounds minimum; some positions may require more. Certifications and Training: Must pass required DHS background check and Protective Service Investigations.
