Primary Responsibility:
Under general supervision, the Forklift Operator will ensure safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products utilizing equipment including, but not limited to, sit down and stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, stand-up straddle trucks, walk behinds, pallet jacks, double pallet jacks and radio frequency equipment.
What You'll Do:
Efficiently and safely load and unload freight using proper equipment to move products to storage throughout facility.
Effectively stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment, check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation, while labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as directed by management.
In compliance with OSHA standards, operateequipment (sit down and stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, stand-up straddle trucks, walk behinds, single/double pallet jacks and RF scanners) in a manner that promotes safety.
Must be able to meet production standards while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
Perform other duties such as inventory, cleaning, or forklift battery changes and may be required to perform other duties outside of normal responsibilities as needed.

What You'll Do
* Move sorted pallet stacks to appropriate staging area using Relogistics forklift equipment
* Forklifts must be operated with extreme care, adhering to company safety procedures at all times
* Hand-sorting wooden pallets, when required
* Repairing wooden pallets using a nail gun, when required
* Maintain a clean & safe working environment
What You'll Need
* High School Diploma or GED
* Forklift certification preferred
* 1-3 years of forklift experience
* Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, lumber, carpentry, lumber, welding, roofing, and/or construction is strongly preferred

Position Summary: In this position, the team member will operate all terminal equipment to distribute the cargo safely and efficiently to the appropriate cargo holds or warehouse as per the operating plan and instructions; Operate as a member of a team, responsible for coordinating information flow between each crew member and location staff/management in the receiving and loading of cargo.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
* Operates various types of cargo related equipment such as conveying equipment, dust collectors, ship loaders, monitor fire suppression systems and all associated equipment to load ships per operating plan and instructions.
* Operatesequipment such as diesel or gasoline powered forklifts, bulldozers, skid steers or heavy pay loaders, Ship Gear, excavators to perform any work for which equipment is designed.
* Maintains housekeeping standards as part of fire safety program or as designated by location staff/management.
* Responsible for checking equipment for damage or repairs needed and reporting information to Maintenance Supervisor or Terminal Manager.
* Make regular inspections of the transport systems and perform minor maintenance tasks such as adjusting and lubricating equipment, cleaning, washing, testing, replacing filters, hoses, and other minor maintenance as necessary to maximize port systems availability and reliability.
* Performs minor maintenance tasks such as repairing, adjusting, and lubricating equipment, gauges, valves, hoses, and etc. as necessary to maximize machine availability/reliability and assist maintenance personnel as required.
* Complies with all procedures to ensure governmental, state, and company certification standards are met.
* Performs all duties assigned by the Shift Leader(s), Operations Manager(s), and Terminal Manager to make sure port operations continue without interruption.
* Ensure that safe equipmentoperating conditions are met before and during operation.
* Works closely, as needed, with flaggers when making lifts or rigging equipment or material.
Education, Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required:
* HS diploma / GED with experience operating heavy machinery including cranes and bulldozers
* Ability to respond to issues quickly, safely and effectively in a fast-paced, stressful operating environment
* Valid driver's license and TWIC or ability to obtain a TWIC required
* Ability to work outside in all types of weather
* Must be available to work varied hours, shifts including days/nights/weekends/holidays as required
Physical Requirements:
* Must meet "fit for duty" requirements upon job offer (pre-employment physical and drug test)

Duties & Responsibilities:
Safely and productively operatesequipment including excavator, forklift, front end loader, 970- & 972-wheel loaders, and other equipment, using proper techniques
Monitors each load of waste, watching for signs of unacceptable waste, and notifies a supervisor it unacceptable waste is detected.
Achieves maximum productivity by meeting and/or exceeding established productivity standards.
Adheres to all safety and company standards and rules to include but not limited to hard hat and safety vest use as directed. Ensures all safety rules are adhered to by co-workers and customers, reports any safety violations to supervisor.
Continuously monitors the equipment to ensure proper operation and minimal down time. Cleans tracks or wheels on equipment.
Performs and documents minor service on equipment and performs and documents a post-trip/post use inspection of the equipment.
Completes Equipment Condition Report and reports any necessary repairs to supervisor and/or Maintenance Shop. Completes other required forms.
Ensures that equipment is properly cleaned, serviced, and stored at the end of each shift.
Performs pre-operation and post-operation inspection of the equipment, and ensures windows, lights, mirrors, and rear-view camera are
Perform other duties instructed by supervisor
