Position Summary
The retail Sales and ServiceTechnician (SST) is a unique hybrid role for stores and is intended as a key pipeline for future career-growth within Firestone Complete Auto Care. This role is primarily responsible for serving the customer through assessing needs, recommending appropriate products and/or services, performing entry-level vehicle services, and ensuring customer satisfaction through thorough and timely completion of services.
Successful individuals in this role will learn all aspects of store operations and effectively flex between interacting/ serving the customer and efficiently completing basic vehicle service tasks as required.Pay Range: $15.50 - $23.20
Responsibilities

Job Details:
This is a 1099/per call position
Pay is based solely on the number of calls completed.
Calls start at $35 and go up based on distance traveled
Pay period: Every Friday after the first week worked
Tickets are run Monday-Friday during the day shift. Candidates must be regularly available a minimum of 3 weekdays to be considered.
Call volume is variable but is usually 1-3 calls per day
You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you.
You must have a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license to run these calls. You will be visiting multiple work sites throughout your day.
You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day.
You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day.
The manufacturer has completed troubleshooting and shipped a part prior to your ticket being issued to you.
You will confirm service times with the customer in your tech portal. Services will be completed at the customer site (residential and commercial)
You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite. Once all calls are completed for the day drop off the old parts with the pre-paid label that is provided.

Coordinates installation function while working toward achieving sales goals and budgets by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Visits job sites before, during, and after installations to ensure quality standards are satisfactory and projects are being completed on time.
Reviews installation orders or schedules to ascertain resources necessary to complete project on time. Plans installation operations, establishing priorities and sequences for installed products.
Reviews reports and resolves problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent installation delays.
Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
Ensures safety procedures are followed, in accordance with OSHA regulations.
Manages employees and/or sub-contractors during the installation function and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the work produced at site. In addition, carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization policies and applicable laws.
Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning and directing work. Appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees. While also addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements:
Achieve a minimum 95% on-time, on-schedule, complete installation rate.
Less than a 2% call-back/correction ratio on installation.
Warranty work completed to customer satisfaction within one week of notification.
One-year (1) certificate from college or technical school or three-years (3) to four-years (4) related work experience in installation of various building product, preferably doors, windows, trim, etc. and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Prior experience in building supplies industry required.

FieldTechnician manages all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks. They diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions. They are responsible for the service and customer support during field visits and dispatches.
Essential Functions
* Troubleshoots and diagnoses all types of equipment to ensure proper working condition on the job site or in the shop.
* Performs routine equipment clean-up and upkeep as well as safety review and pre-delivery inspections.
