Reporting Relationships Reports directly to the Supervisor, Laboratory Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required High school diploma or equivalent. Certification from an accredited medical phlebotomy program, medical assistant program or equivalent. A minimum of one year of experience performing phlebotomy on a broad range of patient types in a hospital setting and ECG experience preferred. Prior work experience in pathology, laboratory support or health-related position. Familiarly with medical terminology, billing and coding preferred. Ability to effectively use a personal computer and working knowledge to perform data entry and analysis. Experience with Cerner and Epic Healthcare Information system a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to interact with physicians, nurses, patients and other internal and external customers in various circumstances. About The Navys Advanced Electronics / Computer Field (AECF) offers extensive training in electronics, computer systems, radar, communications, and weapons fire control systems, including the Navys advanced missile systems and Aegis radar. These technicians are essential to the ships Combat Systems department, ensuring readiness for combat operations across the fleet. Responsibilities As an Electronics Technician (ET) or Fire Controlman (FC), you may: Maintain and repair radar, communication, and navigation equipment. Operate, maintain, and repair fire control radars, mainframe computers, large screen displays, LANs, weapon control consoles, and automatic gun systems. Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical systems used in weapons systems. Support combat systems readiness aboard aircraft carriers, Aegis cruisers, and other surface ships. Work Environment ETs and FCs serve on fleet units worldwide and at shore-based repair facilities. Expect assignments aboard ships, at remote stations, and in technical repair shops.
