Education and Experience Required:
* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field

The position of Field Technician is responsible for all aspects of railcar cleaning and the inspection, care and maintenance of equipment used in the cleaning process. He or she must be able to make safe confined space entries wearing movement and sight restricting personal protective equipment with limited lighting to clean the interior of tank and hopper cars in compliance with Tactical Cleaning policies and procedures.
The Field Technician is responsible for informing the Shop Manager of issues related to their assigned duties.
DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary by supervisor. In order to perform the essential functions of the job, the incumbent must possess, at a minimum, the following skills and abilities. DUTIES:
• Inspect and clean railcar interiors for compliance with customer, FRA, AAR and Tactical Cleaning requirements.
• Complete cleaning checklists as required.

REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to climb ladders, tolerate confined spaces and heights, bend, stoop, stretch, lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs overhead on a consistent basis. This includes working safely around heavy equipment and on top of, under and inside railcars, and railroad tracks.
• Ability and willingness to work outside in adverse weather conditions.
• Willingness and ability to wear safety equipment such as, but not limited to, respirators, safety shoes eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, hard hats, and a variety of protective suits.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install Aqua Flush plumbing systems at job sites
Deliver and set up restroom trailers
Perform light plumbing and service work on restroom systems
Build great relationships with customers through friendly, professional service
Help identify customer needs and offer solutions
Load and unload restrooms using a truck and trailer
Maintain your service truck (we provide it!) so it's clean and ready to go
Use company apps and routing software to stay organized and efficient
Safely operate trucks and follow all safety protocols
Work outside in all weather conditions
Be available for occasional weekend or holiday shifts
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic plumbing or construction experience (trade school or on-the-job training welcome)
Comfortable driving and pulling a trailer
Great communication skills and a positive attitude
Able to lift at least 75 lbs and handle physical work
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Must be 21 or older (insurance requirement)
Able to pass a drug screen and background check

You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you.

You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day.
You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day.

Independently performs complex on-site diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer agricultural and turf equipment. May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager or Shop Foreman.
Responsibilities:
Performs complex on-site diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and/or turf equipment and established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products
Participates in required Service EDUCATE Training programs
Supports customer clinics
Reviews and explains any maintenance, repair, or other service concerns directly with the customer and documents on work order
May promote and sell dealer service programs directly to customers
May establish and implement effective stocking processes with the Parts Department to maintain the proper seasonal parts inventory in the vehicle
Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
Maintains condition of mobile service vehicle, trailer, inventory, tools and equipment
Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties
Maintains a safe working environment and adheres to company safety program at all times
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
3+ years of experience performing on-site service repairs
Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to perform complex repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment
Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
Advanced or Master Service Technician certification preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred
Valid driver's license required
Pay Range: $22.00 - $40.00 per hour. Eligible for Technician Performance program in addition to hourly rate.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install Aqua Flush plumbing systems at job sites
Deliver and set up restroom trailers
Perform light plumbing and service work on restroom systems
Build great relationships with customers through friendly, professional service
Help identify customer needs and offer solutions
Load and unload restrooms using a truck and trailer
Maintain your service truck (we provide it!) so it's clean and ready to go
Use company apps and routing software to stay organized and efficient
Safely operate trucks and follow all safety protocols
Work outside in all weather conditions
Be available for occasional weekend or holiday shifts
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic plumbing or construction experience (trade school or on-the-job training welcome)
Comfortable driving and pulling a trailer
Great communication skills and a positive attitude
Able to lift at least 75 lbs and handle physical work
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Must be 21 or older (insurance requirement)
Able to pass a drug screen and background check
Pay & Schedule:
$21.00 per hour starting pay
Full-time hours: Monday-Friday with occasional weekend shifts
Average 35-50 hours per week (overtime available)
