**Key Responsibilities:**

- Proven experience (5 years) as a Foreman or Supervisor in the DoD Fuels construction and/or oil and gas industry. Working knowledge of blueprints, welding, rigging and related standards.
- In-depth knowledge of DoD fueling system design, construction, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Carpenter Foreman is responsible for the carpentry and cabinets of all facilities in the district.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Graduate or GED preferred
At least three years' experience as a carpenter
Dependable and cooperative
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible to organize and schedule carpentry work to personnel.
• Performs tasks involving woodwork and in some cases light metal jobs such as: framing, chalkboards, bulletin boards, bleachers, concrete forms.
• Performs small-scale construction and remodeling projects.
• Repair and maintain hardware, locks, hinges and other accessories.
• Ensures an adequate inventory of carpentry supplies and materials.
• Trains others in the use of carpentry equipment and other equipment used by carpenters.
• Ensures that all work orders are successfully completed and submitted to office staff in a timely manner.
• Ensures that all carpentry equipment is operational and safe.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws.
• Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
EQUIPMENT USED:
• District vehicle, electric power tools (drill, saw, etc.), electric floor machines, and hand tools.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mental Demands/Physical demands/Environment Factors:
• Strenuous walking, standing, and/or climbing, heavy lifting and carrying, working inside and outside, exposure to hot and cold temperatures, exposure to dust, working on ladders, and scaffolding, working on slippery or uneven walking surfaces.
