Key Responsibilities
Client Monitoring & Support
Attend to the day-to-day operations of the Housing Department.
Supervise all client activities and ensure adherence to the daily schedule.
Make routine rounds and document appropriately.
Provide immediate support for client concerns and ensure their immediate needs are addressed.
Redirect clients respectfully when necessary to maintain order and safety.
Observe and conduct Urine Drug Screens.
Observe self-administration of client medications and document in Medication Observation Records (MORs).
Communication & Documentation
Communicate all client concerns clearly and document as required.
Report all adverse client behaviors and emergent situations in a calm and organized manner.
Document all unsafe conditions and communicate necessary repairs to the Lead BHT.
Maintain accurate shift reports and other required documentation.
Facility Maintenance & Safety
Ensure the physical residence is maintained per State of New Jersey Department of Health standards.
Uphold company operational systems including cleanliness of residential and clinical buildings.
Identify and report any unsafe conditions or needed repairs promptly.
Team Collaboration & Training
Work cohesively with all departments to ensure client safety and care.
Assist in training new BHT staff.
Communicate department needs to the Administrator.
Attend all scheduled meetings and training sessions.
Facilitate client groups under the supervision of the Administrator and Director of Substance Abuse Counseling Services.
Qualifications / Required Experience
A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a behavioral health, addiction recovery, or residential care setting preferred.
Ability to remain awake and alert during all working hours.
Knowledge of or willingness to be trained in observing UDS and medication self-administration procedures.
CPR certification required (or must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
Knowledge of Joint Commission requirements preferred.

Qualifications:
You qualify for the GS-9 grade level in one of the following ways: experience, education, or a combination of both.
Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level that includes:
Detaining suspected violators of federal, state, or local laws and/or arresting violators using the proper law enforcement methods.
Enforcing the laws and regulations relating to importing, exporting, and/or international shipping to and from the United States.
Utilizing intelligence techniques and behavior analysis to identify potential threats and perform risk assessments for violations of laws and threats to national security.
Conducting interviews in a law enforcement capacity for the purposes of gaining information from suspected violators of laws to determine the appropriate course of action.
The above experience will be applied in connection with the following: Ability to make rapid, accurate judgments and decisions with respect to the application of the regulations, instructions, and procedures for importing and exporting merchandise to and from the United States; or enforcement and administration of laws relating to the right of persons to enter, reside in or depart from the United States, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Education Substitution: A master's (or higher) degree, or two or more years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or an LL.B. or J.D. from an accredited college or university; OR
Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of specialized experience AND successfully completed graduate-level education. This will be calculated using your resume and official or unofficial transcripts submitted with your application.
Other Requirements:
Citizenship: You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position.
Residency: You must have had primary U.S. residency (includes protectorates as declared under international law) for at least three (3) of the last five (5) years.
Age Restriction: In accordance with Public Law 100-238, this position is covered under law enforcement retirement provisions. Candidates must be referred for selection to the Customs and Border Protection Officer position before reaching their 40th birthday in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Directive 251-03. Veterans' Preference: You may also be eligible for an excepted service Veterans Recruitment Appointment (VRA). The age restriction does not apply if you are Veterans' Preference eligible.
Formal Training: You will be required to complete a paid pre-academy orientation for approximately two (2) weeks at your home port. You will then attend a 101-day training program - CBP Field Operations Academy - conducted at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) located in Glynco, GA. This training consists of basic law enforcement skills, immigration laws, firearms training, examination of cargo/bags/merchandise, physical fitness, etc. Candidates assigned to the southern border, Miami, or Puerto Rico duty locations must attend and pass an online Spanish training program, which will be completed at their home port. Successful completion of the Academy is required for this position.

Therapists work as part of a supportive team to help improve parent-child interactions and attachment, address behavioral health needs and empower parents to meet their children's physical, developmental and emotional needs through regular meaningful visits.
Program Info
Supportive Visitation Services promote and maintain the parent-child bond and support positive family interactions by facilitating weekly visitation with children in an out of home placement and their parents, relatives, and siblings. The goals of the program are to foster effective communication, enhance parenting, achieve permanency and maintain reunification.
Responsibilities:
Work as part of a supportive team to enhance parent-child interactions and attachment, ensuring the safety and emotional well-being of children.
Address behavioral health needs and empower parents to meet their children's physical, developmental, and emotional needs through meaningful visits.
Conduct biopsychosocial intake assessments to determine family strengths, needs, and create tailored visit plans.
Ensure the safety of children by modeling appropriate interactions between parents and children during visits.
Facilitate collaborative visit planning meetings with parents, visit participants, and relevant stakeholders to align on goals and strategies.
Implement evidence-based services and adjust intervention strategies as needed to align with family goals.
Collaborate with peers, DCP&P, and other community providers to ensure continuity of care and support for the family.
Complete necessary documentation in line with program and agency requirements.
Requirements:
Master's degree in counseling, psychology or social work
Must have an active NJ license (LAC, LSW, LMFT, LPC, LCSW) or be in process of obtaining it.
Must have a minimum of one year of experience working with children and families, particularly families involved with the child welfare system and/or affected by trauma.
Strong knowledge of child development, attachment, and behavioral health needs.
Ability to facilitate positive interactions and work collaboratively with families.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Previous experience working with DCP&P or similar agencies is a plus.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle and an acceptable driving record and reliable transportation.
Additional Information:
Salary: $70,000-$75,000; depending on licensure
Sign on Bonus: $1000
Bilingual Rate: An additional $3,120 bilingual rate added if Spanish proficient
