Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio is currently seeking a Material Handler to join our team at the North Canton outlet store! As a material handler, you will move donated materials, all salvage commodities/sorts, refuse, equipment/fixtures, or other designated materials on/off trucks and sort properly into the designated locations within the store. You will also assist in all areas of the salvage sorting process and cross-train to cover other specified job descriptions as needed.
Essential Functions:
* Processes quality donations quickly, which involves the sorting and preparing of all materials for sale in the store, and meets production goals.
* Assists in stock rotation and maintains shelves and other displays in a presentable manner.
* Utilizes personal computer software to input starting and ending cash amounts and maintain accurate customer records.
* Assists store team leadership and the training of new personnel.
* Assists in maintaining a clean work area, such as sweeping floors. Adheres to all safety practices, procedures, and policies.
* Manually, using a hand truck, or pallet jack, performs various material handling duties on the dock, facility, or exterior areas of the store.
* Weighs and records gaylords, containers, and hoppers to track diversion pounds.
* Provides appropriate customer service on the outlet floor.
* Loads and unloads trailers on the loading dock.
* Places trash into the proper container and moves the container to the proper location (including outside designations) for disposal or disposes into the compactor.
Specific Experience/Skills/Abilities:
* Experience with the operation of personal computers preferred
* Ability to operate all tipping equipment.
* Ability to use all appropriate safety PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and follow all safety practices.

Join our team in "Doing the Most Good" as a Bookkeeper Clerk at our Adult Rehabilitation Center. We're seeking a detail-oriented and skilled professional to handle our financial transactions and maintain accurate records. This role is crucial in supporting our mission through efficient financial operations, accurate bookkeeping, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations
Process transactions using Shelby Systems accounting software
Handle accounts payable, including check processing and vendor management
Prepare and post journal entries
Reconcile daily sales and bank statements
Process and reconcile CounterPoint POS reports
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain organized filing systems for checks and financial documents
Prepare financial reports for Adult Rehabilitation Center
Generate Rags Sales & Vehicle Sales Reports
Handle auto donations process
Assist with internal audit preparations
Account Management
Process internal and external voucher billing through Shelby Accounts Receivable
Monitor and communicate about open AR accounts
Identify and post incoming wire transfers
Prepare weekly gratuities
Maintain vendor documentation and prepare 1099 processing lists
Qualifications
Education & Experience
High School Degree required
Preferred: Accounting Certificate or 2-year associate's degree in related field
Minimum two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
