The position will upload graphics files to the Tactile Graphic Image Library (TGIL) using the NetX Digital Asset Management system and work collaboratively with other team members to support the maintenance and improvement of the TGIL website and Monarch app.
This is a temporary, grant-funded position with the potential to transition to a permanent role upon the conclusion of grant activities, contingent upon continued funding and satisfactory performance. The expected duration of employment is through September 30, 2028. However, employment is dependent on the continued availability of grant funds and may be terminated at any time if funding is reduced or discontinued.
Key Responsibilities
Create, review, and remediate tactile graphics in accordance with Monarch best practices and BANA guidelines to support Monarch users and Monarch RISE Project participants preparing for, seeking, or maintaining CIE.
Upload, catalog, and maintain tactile graphics and related records in the Tactile Graphic Image Library (TGIL) using the NetX Digital Asset Management platform.
Evaluate donated or existing employment-related graphics for potential remediation, enhancement, or inclusion in TGIL, exercising independent judgment and providing recommendations for improvement.
Manage the TGIL graphics request and remediation workflow, prioritizing and accepting Monarch RISE Project requests in alignment with established request policies.
Provide expert support to TGIL users by responding to inquiries, resolving technical issues, and offering guidance on appropriate graphics use.
Collaborate closely with READS department staff and others to identify, plan, and implement improvements to TGIL systems, the website, and the Monarch TGIL app, including roadmap development and feedback to developers.

As a Pre-Production Graphic Artist, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and finalizing artwork for print and digital production while ensuring quality and accuracy standards are met. Responsibilities of the Pre-Production Graphic Artist:
Turn creative concepts into finished production-ready artwork.
Fine-tune and prepare graphicdesign files for print production or digital media.
Work closely with graphicdesigners, art directors, and creative team members to ensure final output meets quality standards.
Review files for errors or inconsistencies, including missing fonts, low-resolution images, and incorrect color spaces.
Make necessary adjustments to artwork to meet production and quality requirements.
Ensure files are properly set up for printing or digital use, including correct color profiles, resolution, bleed, and trim marks.
Maintain organized digital files and follow production workflows and deadlines.
Pre-Production Graphic Artist Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in a production or graphic art role preferred.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong creative problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency with industry-standard graphicdesign and production software.
