About the Role:
The Graphic Design team develops and executes layouts, designs and production from concept through completion for a range of visual communications projects including social, digital web, print, video and photography. Individuals on this team utilize creativity, design and software skills while working collaboratively with a full in-house creative team. All this is done while interpreting brand guidelines and embodying a consistent visual brand representation for Baird.
This is a hybrid internship, working two days per week in our downtown Milwaukee, WI office and three days remote. The intern must be able to work full time during the summer, 37.5-40 hours per week, and work part time during the school semesters, 15-20 hours per week. We are seeking a local student who can start in May 2026.
The Impact You'll Make:
Be involved in various phases of a project including print and digital production, concept brainstorming and team meetings
Contribute to print-based design projects: primarily artwork changes and revisions, layout and design
Interpret brand guidelines and embody a consistent visual brand representation for Baird within design

Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting the graphic design team with their day-to-day operations on a wide range of projects, including digital initiatives and printed collateral, that maintain the continuity and integrity of the Milwaukee Bucks brand and their business entities including Fiserv Forum, Wisconsin Herd, Bucks Gaming and Deer District. Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a college or university and must be an upcoming junior or senior as of Summer 2026 with a major focused in graphic design, visual communications or related field
Must possess working skills in Adobe Creative Suite on Mac platform - specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Lightroom AND AfterEffects
Advanced layout and typography knowledge

JOB SUMMARY:
The Layout Designer will support engineers with drawing layouts by utilizing computer aided drafting software. This role will also be responsible for creating new and modified components and Bill of Materials (BOM) in accordance to the Oshkosh standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
Update current drawings per markups based on direction from engineering; re-master CAD drawings to current format.
Use computer-aided drafting systems to create 3D and 2D layouts, following the direction of design team members.
Self-check own work to ensure accuracy and organization, dimension and tolerance convention, and conformance with established CAD specifications and standards.
Utilize ERP systems to create part numbers following the proper naming process and data entry requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent* with two (2) years of experience in drafting/design.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree or equivalent* with three (3) years of experience in drafting/design.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt to a fast pace environment.
Detail oriented.
Capable of using standard Windows Office tools including SharePoint, email, and CAD tools.

Summary:The Wisconsin Herd are looking for a dedicated graphic designer to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, and learn the ins & outs of brand strategy and visual design in the sports industry. The graphic designer will be assisting the creative/marketing department with a wide range of projects, including digital initiatives & printed collateral, that maintain the continuity and integrity of the Milwaukee Bucks brand and its various entities (Wisconsin Herd, Bucks Gaming, Fiserv Forum, and Deer District).
Responsibilities:
Assist the creative/marketing team in designing for both digital and print, including digital campaigns, arena graphics and other promotional materials such as invitations, logos/lockups, postcards, brochures, flyers, signage, advertisements, etc.
Work with existing creative and deliver supporting designs, as well as complete original designs based on supporting strategy and brand guidelines
Provide live social/digital graphic updates during assigned Wisconsin Herd home and away games, NBA G League draft and other events as needed
Conceptualize, design, and layout a range of materials in various mediums for use in advertising, promotions, informational and image-building
Build the Milwaukee Bucks brand and support ticket sales and corporate marketing
Maintain logo and identity archives and assist in running their use and following NBA G League guidelines for logos, wordmarks, and team identity marks
Archive all team photos after each Home game as assigned
Proactively collaborate in team brainstorming sessions, reviews, sharing ideas, both within the creative/marketing department and with other organizational departments
Perform photography at games and other non-game events, is a plus

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or Advertising
Sports experience and /or NBA knowledge is a plus!
Minimum of 2 years of graphic design, website design or advertising experience
Possess experience of using a workflow platform like Wrike and social media content editor software like Slate is a plus
Experience creating high impact designs and graphics
Demonstrate a high level of attention to details, be organized, and effectively lead projects & meet deadlines in a timely manner
Understanding of still photography and eye for photographic images that will improve or be the message
Possess extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite on a Mac platform, specifically Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat and Lightroom - AfterEffects or other motion graphics programs a plus
Excellent grammar, spelling, proofreading, and writing abilities; Highly organized, efficient, and able to prioritize multiple tasks
A great teammate with excellent people skills and a strong customer service orientation
Constant desire to improve creatively to strengthen the Bucks and Herd brand
Flexible in terms of handling a variety of assignments under tight deadlines while maintaining a strong focus on branding, consistency, and quality
Advanced layout and typography knowledge
