1921

Lou Gehrig got his start here as "Lou Lewis" for the Hartford Senators in 1921.

1923

Gehrig was back again with the Senators in 1923 and was terrible for a while — until he started hitting home runs, including what was called "the longest home run on record in Hartford" when the Senators defeated Bridgeport.

1929

1931

In 1950, he began a 22-year career as Harvard’s hockey coach.

2003

Domino took note of the shift in 2003, when the Philadelphia Phillies-owned Class A franchise in Clearwater, Fla., changed its name from Phillies to Threshers.
