Meade, Florida, and Bauxite, Arkansas facilities before being named Director of Manufacturing for Alcoa’s Industrial Chemicals Division, Arkansas Operations. In 1998, he joined Alcoa’s Wheel and Forged Products Division in Cleveland, Ohio, as Division Controller. In 2001, Mr. Thene moved to Alcoa’s New York Office as Director of the Corporate Financial Analysis and Planning Group, and a year later, he was named Chief Financial Officer for Alcoa World Alumina and Chemicals. He was appointed Group Chief Financial Officer of Alcoa’s Global Rolled Products and Hard Alloy Extrusions Group in 2004, and in 2005, he became Alcoa’s Director of Investor Relations. Mr. Thene earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Indiana State University and his MBA from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and serves as a member of the Board’s Science and Technology Committee.
