HEAPY company history timeline

1945

In 1945, Schweiger Heapy and Associates is established.

1947

The first full-time employee was hired in June of 1947.

1952

By 1952, the firm had grown to twelve employees.

1970

In the mid to late 1970’s HEAPY reorganized into Teams of around 10 designers which consisted of all disciplines in lieu of the previous arrangement of being organized by discipline.

1990

Starting in the early 1990’s, design production shifted from hand drawings to cad.

2002

In 2002, HEAPY joined the primary industry association, Building Industry Consulting Services International (BICSI) and then had its first Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) Certification Professional.

2005

In 2005, HEAPY formed partnership with a nationally recognized Architecture and Engineering Consulting firm to provide ICT Design Services for dozens of Department of Defense (DoD) projects around the country.

2011

In 2011, as a result of expanding our design expertise, HEAPY added an Electronic Safety and Security (ESS) credentialed professional.

2013

In 2013, HEAPY lands our first project with the Cleveland Clinic.

2015

The creation of a dedicated Healthcare Practice in 2015 increased HEAPY’s expertise in the finer details of Healthcare design and better organized HEAPY’s colleagues for response to larger, more complicated projects.

2020

In 2020, ICT engineer receives his Certified Information System Security Professional and Physical Security Professional certifications
