Helen Adams Realty history

1980: Helen is one of the first in Charlotte to sell $1 million in residential real estate in one week. "Luxury" homes at the time were considered anything above $250,000 - so a $1 million sale was quite rare, said Helen.

1982: Jeff joins the firm as an agent, learning the business firsthand from his mother and the members of the original team.

1990: Jeff establishes a foothold as a trusted partner for new construction developers, taking part in many major projects throughout Charlotte.

1991: Helen and Jeff conduct a sale of their own.

1999: By way of cassette tape, Jeff discovers Ninja Selling and its founder, Larry Kendall.

2000: The Ballantyne office, the firm’s second location, opens and establishes a presence for the firm at the forefront of Charlotte’s growth southward.

2001: Marks HAR’s first $100 million year.

2005: The Lake Norman office opens as the firm’s third location, joining in Charlotte’s expansion north up the I-77 corridor.

2006: From this year on, the firm surveys every client for after closing in our pursuit of superior customer satisfaction.

2015: In Helen’s honor, the firm establishes the Helen Adams Realty Scholarship at UNCC which provides funding to local students who will one day become entrepreneurs and leaders in their own right.

2018: The firm opens its fourth office in Fort Mill, SC, officially setting roots to support clients and agents in the growing upstate South Carolina area.
