801 Fish St. Louis is looking for a Host to join our team! If you are an upbeat, social person who has a passion for excellent service and fine dining, and enjoys establishing genuine connections with guests, we want to talk to you!
This is a part-time, non-exempt (hourly) front of the house (FOH) position working in a team-oriented, high-volume / fast-paced, guest-centric environment with the highest quality food & drink.
Requirements & Expectations:
Minimum of 1 year, but preferably at least 2-3 years of host experience in a fast-paced, high-end / fine dining establishment.
Must be available to work 4-5 shifts, any day of the week, including evenings, weekends & some holidays.
Knowledge of, and ability to work within, OpenTable and other computer systems.
The ideal candidate is a high-energy, detail-oriented professional who enjoys interacting with the public while maintaining a strong sense of hospitality, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must have the ability to work effectively as part of a team, to multi-task, and to maintain focus/memory of information received.
Ability to communicate clearly (in person or via telephone) while demonstrating warmth & professionalism to guests in a busy, fast-paced / high-stress environment.
Ability to maintain regular, reliable and predictable attendance.
Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:
Physical ability to work on your feet, alertly, for extended periods of time
Physical ability to lift up to 30lbs
Ability to bend, reach, squat, kneel, climb and twist
