Greets Guests in a warm and friendly manner while also acknowledging all Guests that are within five feet of their location
Seats Guests based on their seating preference when possible.
Rotates seating with different servers to ensure even workloads for Servers, as well as ensure prompt service
Provide departing Guests with a warm salutation thanking them for their visit and inviting them to return
Supports Service Team Members in bussing dishes, sanitizing, and resetting tables on an as-needed basis
Supports other front of house Team Members to ensure that all Guest requests are fulfilled promptly
Manages the placement of Guests within the entrance area for enhancement of Guest experience and ensures the safety of all Guests and Team Members
Provides accurate wait times to Guests and recommends waiting options, e.g., seating at the bar
Answers incoming restaurant calls in a friendly, professional manner
Maintains a neat and organized workstation and entrance area
Completes tasks included on the Host opening and closing sidework charts
Ensures restrooms are clean, tidy, and stocked
Communicate with fellow Team Members and Management to keep one another informed
Ensures side work has been completed and stations are properly stocked

Washes hands every 20 minutes throughout the shift

Position Summary:

Assists residents and guests with all aspects of restaurant-style meal service for the Main Dining Room. Sets tables, takes food and beverage orders, serves residents and guests, and clears tables. Primary Responsibilities:
Dining Service
Serve food in accordance with nutritional guidelines, local health department regulations, and resident's individual prescribed diet and food preferences
Assist care partners with serving quality meals during main meal times in main dining room
Serve resident and guest meals in accordance with Oaks All Day Dining program
Assist in fostering residents' independence with eating by providing adaptive equipment when needed
Ensure healthy snacks are set out at appropriate and scheduled times
Acquaint new residents with menus, seating, and dining options and hours
Ensure that food is delivered on time and in a pleasant manner
Ensure Resident food needs and preferences are known and are being honored
Take resident orders for meals on a daily basis
Responds to customer service requests and complaints
Notify Food Service Director or Lead Cook of any malfunctioning kitchen equipment or appliances
Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, condiment containers, and equipment used in the dining room
Vacuum dining room after each main meal setting
Spot clean carpet as needed
Wash and prepare linen napkins for place setting
Communicate resident likes and dislikes to Food Service Director for menu planning purposes and resident satisfaction
Inform kitchen staff if residents will be out of community at meal time
Inform kitchen staff when resident would like to have a meal outside of scheduled meal times
Inform kitchen staff when guest will be joining for meal
Create a strong sense of team work and cooperation among all staff
Ensure table settings are complete and have fresh condiments for the service
Prepare and serve beverages including refilling coffee, tea and other beverages during main meals and throughout the day in accordance with Oaks All Day dining program
Observes changes in resident status, needs or preferences and communicates them appropriately to Wellness Director
Assist care partners with clearing dining tables during main meal times
Reset dining tables with place settings and ensure salt and pepper shakers are clean and full, sugar packets and creamers are replenished immediately following meal times

Regulatory Compliance and Sanitation
Ensure compliance with local health department regulations and the Oaks Senior Living policies and procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dining room environment
