    TPH Academy

Non profit job in Palatine, IL

Are you ready to build the next generation of elite hockey talent in the heart of Chicago? The Windy City Storm, in partnership with TPH, is seeking a dynamic, proven leader to take on the combined role of Director of Youth Hockey Programs (8U-12U) and Head Coach of a Storm Tier I Youth Team. This is not a traditional coaching job; it is a full-time commitment to excellence, demanding a highly motivated, "multiple-hat-wearing" professional who lives and breathes player development. If you possess a winning mentality, elite communication skills, and a willingness to work the non-traditional schedule required for top-tier hockey, this is your opportunity to define the future of a premier youth organization. As the Director of Youth Hockey Programs, you will be the visionary architect for the entire 8U through 12U system. Your mission is to ensure quality, consistency, and a best-in-class family experience across all Storm youth teams. This involves serving as the primary lead for quality control, developing and managing a unified, progressive curriculum, and overseeing the hiring, mentoring, and development of all youth coaching staff. Furthermore, you will manage programming logistics, including budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring a positive, valuable, and transparent experience for all student-athletes and their families, ensuring the Storm mission is executed at every level. Simultaneously, you will step behind the bench as the Head Coach of a Storm Tier I Youth Team, directly implementing the TPH development model and leading players both on and off the ice. Your responsibilities will include executing detailed practice plans, formulating advanced team concepts, leading video sessions, liaising with Academy coaches to ensure comprehensive player growth, and of course, recruiting quality hockey players. We need a leader who can recruit top talent, manage the budget with precision, and commit to the development of players on and off the ice. If you are ready to put in the grind, embrace continuous learning, and elevate an entire youth program, we invite you to apply and join the TPH and Windy City Storm leadership team. $60,000-80,000 base compensation with the potential to earn additional compensation through performance-based incentives and holding enhanced qualifications. Position comes with full benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability, and 401(k) plan with company match.
