Assist with weighing program participants, take vital signs, gathers and records other data as requested.
Focusing on empowerment, collaborate with residents to develop treatment and behavior plans, and goal building and achievement.
Teach and model appropriate social and independent living skills. Encourage individuals to perform tasks as independently as possible and to participate in activities.
Actively participate in resident, family, team and staff meetings.
Accurately document progress and shift notes, changes to treatment and behavior plans, etc. Recognize and appropriately respond to changes in residents' status or behavior.
High school diploma or equivalent degree. One year experience providing direct care with people who have cognitive or developmental disabilities preferred.
Enthusiasm, motivation, open-mindedness, creativity, and the desire to thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and sound judgement.
Ability to operate basic computer applications.
Must hold a valid driver's license, have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport clients. May also drive company-owned wheelchair lift-equipped van.
Strongly prefer a candidate that will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.

Summary: The Awake Overnight Direct Support Professional 2 will provide support and assistance to individuals with developmental and psychiatric disabilities during the overnight hours in Level 2 residential programs. Schedule: Friday - Saturday 11:00 PM - 9:00 AM (Awake) (20 hours)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide support and assist individuals with all activities of daily living.
Provide services to individuals according to DDS, CARF, and all applicable regulatory standards and Bridgewell policies and procedures.
Maintain required documentation according to DDS and all applicable regulatory standards, and Bridgewell policies and procedures.
Assist individuals during the overnight shift.
Complete household cleaning duties as assigned.
Administer medications according to MAP regulations.
Maintain core training certifications including CPR/FA, OSHA, CPI, PABC, and MAP.
Transport individuals as needed.
Comply with Bridgewell Awake Overnight Call-In procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Education/Experience:
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Associate's Degree or DSP Certification preferred.
A minimum of 1 year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
Excellent written and oral communication skills so that the writing of required documents is clear and articulate.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Activities are provided that challenge each child to explore, discover, create, and grow.
Responsibilities:
Provide support to one or more groups in preparing materials for activities, setting up/cleaning up activities, and assisting lead teachers as needed.
Engage and interact appropriately with students, support age-appropriate expectations, and work with program leaders to support and include all students by meeting and supporting students' individual strengths and needs.
Actively participate in the care and supervision of students during the entire duration of the shift.
Assist in modeling conflict resolution strategies for students.
Ensure proper use of and care for program spaces and all materials/equipment belonging to the program and/or school. This includes daily cleaning tasks such as wiping down tables, pushing in chairs, and returning program materials to dedicated storage areas.
Follow safety policies and procedures.
