Responsibilities
The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational policies.
Job duties include:
Expected to provide Tier II and below support
Manage system installation, configuration, upgrades, and updates on secure networks
Maintain documentation for system operations, changes, and procedures
Provide technical support and interact with customers in-person, by email, or by response to tickets
Escalate tickets, tasks, and problems as required
Monitor systems and resolve issues to prevent costly downtime
Other job duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Must be able to obtain and maintain an 8570 compliant IAT Level 2 or higher certification, such as CompTIA Security+ or higher
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an IT Systems Administrator or related role
Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Operating systems
Experience with troubleshooting, updating, and upgrading Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, etc)
Experience with Active Directory, DNS, Group Policies, Print Management
Experience with configuring and applying group policies in accordance with industry compliance standards (JSIG, DISA STIGS, NIST, CIS, etc)
Experience creating, securing, and maintaining user profiles, computer accounts, and groups in Active Directory and various software applications
Experience with maintaining multiple virtual machines and virtual environments (VMware)
Experience with backup and recovery procedures
Experience with upgrading and patching various operating systems and applications (Windows, Windows Server, and Red Hat)

This position requires an active Top-Secret Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
