Staff Infrastructure Engineer

Our Mission
We're building infrastructure for modern healthcare delivery
Traditional healthcare is plagued with outdated, monolithic EHRs designed to maximize billing outcomes. Patient outcomes and provider experiences have been afterthoughts, as these systems have bolted on non-API-first solutions. None of this is built for how clinically excellent healthcare is actually delivered-longitudinally and collaboratively, with the patient at the center.
Healthie is the world's leading API-first, ONC-Certified EHR for healthcare delivery outside of the hospital. We provide the powerful infrastructure every scaling organization needs-EHR, scheduling, patient engagement, billing, and more-all accessible via modern APIs and a white-labeled UI. Our platform makes it simple for organizations of any size to launch, customize, and scale their care delivery models without reinventing the wheel.
Today, over 1 billion API calls are made to Healthie every month, as thousands of organizations-working with more than 13 million patients in total-rely on Healthie to deliver care across a spectrum of specialties, from preventative health and wellness to complex chronic care management.
We believe in the power of technology to improve access to healthcare-and we're building the rails that make this a reality. We work fast and with quality because we provide business-critical, healthcare-critical software that clinicians and patients need for a better healthcare system. We're customer-obsessed, operate with lightning-fast processes and responses, make our product roadmap public so customers can see what we're building, and remain relentlessly focused on how care gets delivered.
Healthie is backed by leading investors, and while we've $42M raised to date, more importantly, we operate with fiscal responsibility and have been profitable for more than half of our time as a company.

Remote job
Prelude Security is building the category leader in Runtime Memory Protection - an endpoint product that detects and blocks in-memory execution, memory zero-day exploitation, and ransomware execution entirely from user mode.
We are a small team of security researchers and software developers working to reinvent the way we protect endpoints in a world where threats are complex, emergent, and accelerating. Backed by Sequoia Capital, Insight Partners, and other leading investors, we are building an advanced security solution to detect in-memory attacks on endpoints, which is written in Rust and runs exclusively in user mode. It leverages advances in modern edge computing architecture, hardware-level telemetry, and a graph-based understanding of the Windows operating system to catch adversaries the moment that they compromise an endpoint. Rather than endlessly attempting to predict what an adversary might do, trapping adversaries at this universal and unavoidable chokepoint that lies at the center of their operations allows us to focus all of our efforts on what they must do, regardless of their sophistication or how much creativity (or AI) they apply to their tactics.
Our goal is simple: to detect out-of-context execution in a way that remains entirely outside the adversary's control. Out-of-context execution occurs when an attacker coerces an application to run code paths that were not intended by the original application. This includes in-memory execution techniques such as local and remote injection, exploitation that results in the execution of dynamic code, and fileless malware.
Role
As an Infrastructure Engineer at Prelude, you will build the foundation upon which our endpoint protection platform is built, deployed, and scaled. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the cloud architecture and CI/CD frameworks that empower our engineering and research teams to ship performant, stable, and resilient software with high velocity. Combining principles from Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps, you will own the entire lifecycle of our services from architectural design and infrastructure provisioning to deployment, monitoring, and incident response. This role is critical to ensuring our platform is reliable, scalable, and secure for our customers.
Given the confidential nature of our work, we require an NDA to be signed after an introductory call if there is mutual interest in moving forward.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain the core infrastructure that powers Prelude's endpoint protection platform.
Develop and manage our CI/CD pipelines to automate the building, testing, and deployment of our software.
Scale our systems sustainably through automation, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
Implement and manage robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure service health, availability, and performance.
Collaborate closely with software engineers and security researchers to improve the reliability, deployability, and operational aspects of their code.
Practice sustainable incident response and conduct blameless postmortems to drive continuous improvement.
Serve as a subject matter expert on cloud architecture, system scalability, and operational excellence.
Skills and Experience
Demonstrable experience building and managing infrastructure in a major cloud environment (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation, Ansible, or Terraform.
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies
Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with tools such as GitHub Actions.
Proficiency in one or more programming or scripting languages, such as Python or Rust.
Experience implementing and using modern observability tools for monitoring, logging, and tracing (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK stack).
Strong understanding of networking and security best practices in cloud environments.
Nice to Haves
Experience working in a fast-paced, adaptive startup environment.
Prior experience building and managing infrastructure for a security-focused product or in a high-compliance environment.
Experience with distributed systems.
Systems programming experience, ideally using Rust.

Easy ApplyInfrastructure Platform Engineer (Remote)
Remote job
Job DescriptionDescriptionBe a Part of our Team! Join a working team that is dedicated to the mission of the work we do! Teaching Strategies is an innovative edtech organization focused on connecting teachers, children, and families. As front runners in the early childhood education market, we build dynamic, top-quality digital products that integrate all of the essential elements of a high-quality solution: curriculum, assessment, professional development, and family engagement. We are building a team of results-oriented individuals who will thrive in a collaborative, work-hard/play-hard culture. We pride ourselves on the impact we have on the early childhood field through supporting teachers who are doing the most important work there is, teaching children to become creative, confident thinkers.
Position Overview
We're seeking a Infrastructure Platform Engineer to lead the design and evolution of our internal developer platform. You'll focus on making infrastructure self-service and invisible - abstracting away AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform through tools and workflows that empower developers to deliver software without needing to become cloud experts.
You'll be our subject matter expert on AWS EKS and infrastructure automation, working across engineering teams to define platform standards, build extensible tooling, and own the developer experience from infrastructure request to production deployment.
This is a high-impact, senior role for a hands-on engineer who thinks strategically, builds with empathy, and drives platform initiatives across the company.
Our developers should spend their time shipping features - not wrestling with YAML, Terraform, or AWS IAM. As a Infrastructure Platform Engineer, you'll lead the effort to make infrastructure easy, scalable, and safe for every engineering team, unlocking productivity and accelerating product delivery.
Interested in building the platform that powers everything else? Let's talk.
Specific Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead Developer Platform Strategy: Define and drive the vision for internal infrastructure platforms that abstract away complexity and maximize developer velocity.
Own Self-Service Infrastructure: Architect and implement tools, APIs, and UI/CLI workflows that allow developers to provision and manage infrastructure without needing to write Terraform or YAML.
Scale EKS Platforms: Own the architecture and lifecycle of secure, multi-tenant AWS EKS clusters optimized for internal platform use, including provisioning, policy, networking, and cost control.
Codify Best Practices: Design reusable infrastructure blueprints and opinionated defaults that encode security, scalability, and compliance into the platform.
Build Developer Tooling: Develop platform SDKs, CLIs, and service templates that make infrastructure consumption intuitive and consistent across teams.
Cross-Team Leadership: Partner with application teams, security, and SREs to align platform capabilities with engineering needs and business priorities.
Mentor & Uplevel the Org: Act as a technical mentor across engineering, influencing architectural decisions, platform usage, and DevEx best practices.
Measure & Iterate: Instrument the platform with metrics, collect feedback, and continuously improve adoption, performance, and usability.
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in infrastructure, SRE/DevOps, or platform engineering roles, with at least 2 years in a senior or technical ownership position driving cross-team initiatives or high-impact platform projects.
Deep expertise in AWS, particularly EKS, IAM, networking, and container-native services.
Proven experience designing and operating internal developer platforms and self-service infrastructure solutions.
Strong programming skills in Python or Go - comfortable building production-grade services, tools, and APIs.
Practical understanding of infrastructure-as-code and GitOps workflows - especially Terraform and Helm - even if the goal is to abstract them.
Experience with platform frameworks like Backstage, Port, or building custom developer portals.
Strong systems thinking and architectural skills - capable of balancing long-term vision with short-term needs.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity, influencing stakeholders, and aligning platform initiatives with business and engineering priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a product-minded approach to infrastructure.
Bonus Points:
Experience implementing policy engines (e.g., OPA, Kyverno) or platform guardrails.
Background in SRE or security engineering with platform responsibility.
Track record of developer enablement: reducing friction, improving onboarding, and evangelizing platform adoption.
Familiarity with multi-account AWS orgs and cost-aware design patterns.
