Work you'll do
As a Tax Senior in our IG team, you will:
Provide day-to-day oversight of multiple Inventory engagements, interacting directly with clients and local office Deloitte teams
Consult with clients in transforming their inventory processes
Consult with clients on how inventory impacts the new tax reform legislation including BEAT, GILTI, etc.
Supervise national teams in both our U.S. and U.S.- India offices
Mentor and develop consultants and interns by providing leadership, counseling, and career guidance
Actively participate in marketplace pursuits such as meeting with prospective clients and demonstrating the IG expertise

The team
National Federal Tax Services (NFTS) is a national practice within Deloitte Tax LLP made up of a number of tax service offerings. Each NFTS service offering has been developed and built as a result of a tax planning idea, a marketplace need, or a technological innovation - all with the purpose of delivering results for our clients. Our people are entrepreneurial in spirit and have always had the work-hard/play-hard mentality.
Our IG team operates within Deloitte's NFTS practice under the umbrella of Proven Solutions. We provide a dedicated inventory tax team with specialized tax knowledge and tools to assist our clients with analyzing their tax inventory methods and implementing an approach focused on cash flow savings, compliance, and technological process improvements.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance or other business-related field
Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2 - 3 days per week
Ability to travel 15%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
3+ years of experience in federal accounting methods compliance using tax technology
One of the following active accreditations obtained, in process, or willing able to obtain:
Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA
If not CPA eligible:
Licensed attorney

Preferred:
Advanced degree such as MST, MAcc, or LLM
Self-starter with demonstrated ability to effectively handle multiple, competing priorities

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $69,930 to $139,620.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.

Assist Lead Installer in carrying out full HVAC installation skills such as: equipment removal and installation of new, duct repair and/or replacement (fiberglass, flex, and metal), soldering, venting flues, refrigerant leak detection, and charging, recovering and reclaiming refrigerant, measuring refrigeration system parameters (gas pressures and temperatures, etc.), calculating static and CFM delivery, carrying out basic plumbing and electrical skills.
Load trucks with materials, tools, and equipment as instructed by Lead Installer.
Learn proper install methods from Install Lead.

Role and Responsibilities
Installs, repairs, and inspects smoke and fire detection systems; inspects tests, and repairs fire alarm wiring, fire alarm panels and peripheral equipment.
Install cabling and electrical wiring. Install access control systems and related equipment
Identifies hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair. Inspects, repairs or replaces smoke/heat detectors and tests fire alarm systems using appropriate diagnostic programs and equipment.
Ensures that work is in accordance with relevant codes. Performs other general jobs as required including installations and cabling.
Travel to jobsite locations to complete work and install.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
3+ years of electrical expierence in a construction environment
NICET II certification with five (5) years verifiable experience preferred
Journeyman license and completion of a accredited apprenticeship preferred.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in installation, maintenance, and repair of fire and smoke detection systems and equipment.
Knowledge of applicable building codes, regulations, or ordinances.
Ability to operate drills, conduit benders, drill presses, cable pullers, meters (volt, OHM, AMP, Meg), hand drills, hand tools and power tools.
Ability to work in safe and efficient manner. Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Ability to use diagnostic program and other applicable diagnostic software and equipment. Ability to perform smoke detector sensitivity procedure.
Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed. Ability to work in safe and efficient manner.
Work Environment
This job operates in an office and field environment. The field environment will be on construction sites or inside existing buildings. Working conditions can change dramatically from one job to another.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Other work tasks will require:
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.
Travel to job sites and customer locations within assigned regions.
Overnight travel may be required.
