· Formal apprenticeship completion and/or journeyman master certification.
· Mechatronics certifications for Levels 1-7 completed.

What this job involves

What is your day to day?
Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical and other installed systems, equipment, and other components.
Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC/R systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds, and production equipment as it pertains to assigned buildings.
Study and become familiar with the various items of equipment, and the methods required to use them properly, that are required in everyday activities.
Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.
Submit P-card Receipts Daily
Update work order status in real time
Utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed.
Desired experience and technical skills
Required:
MUST have commercial refrigeration experience (such as working with rack refrigeration).
High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
HVAC technicians must have a Universal CFC recovery certification (or within 90 days of employment)
Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong background in the technical aspects of HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, production equipment repair and maintenance. Knowledge of overall system design and applications.
Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license
Preferred:
Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel
Two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration and HVAC / R

Responsible for splicing high voltage and secondary network systems (power cables used in underground distribution) and street lighting. Fully capable of installing, splicing and terminating high voltage at 13.2kV and below. Locating and repairing cable faults of all kinds. Performs all other underground work involving construction, maintenance, repair and routine inspection.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Operates all tools and equipment pertaining to underground distribution.
Identifies and handles all materials and components associated with underground residential distribution (URD).
Identifies and handles all materials and components associated with lead cable work.
Reads and interprets various underground-related prints and drawings.
Splices lead cable, 350 and 500 MCM, including straight lead splices, wye lead splices, up to quad lead splices.
Communicates with employees, other departments and Line Department personnel to ensure proper understanding of job procedures and daily activities.
Communicates with customers to promote a positive awareness of BWL responsibility.
Required to follow BWL Safety Manual and wear required personal protective equipment.

Candidates must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Within six months of the date of hire they must successfully pass the Michigan CDL skills/road test. Installation technician job in Ann Arbor, MI

Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair various makes and models of HVAC equipment.
Refrigerant repairs and compressor replacements.
Repair and maintain thermostats, air filters, blower fans, belts, and bearings.
Maintain personal tools according to company guidelines.
Have a commitment to a high level of customer service.
Qualifications:
EPA Universal certified.
NATE certifications preferred.
Customer service experience with strong people skills.
Applicants must have a current driver's license and a satisfactory driving record, must be insurable to drive to and from assigned jobs.
Able to work in a team atmosphere.
Former installation and boiler experience.
Willingness to interface with clients and effectively communicate service/project outcomes and recommendations.

The Commercial HVAC and Refrigeration Technician is responsible for operating a company vehicle to and from customer sites to troubleshoot, maintain and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment. To be a successful Commercial HVAC/R Technician, you should be able to work independently, possess strong technical and troubleshooting skills and be an expert in customer service.
Responsibilities:
* Troubleshoots and repairs commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment
* Inspects the commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment and their related components to ensure safe operation.
* Communicates with customer and branch staff regarding status of repairs to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated with customers.
* Completes service tickets according to procedures.
* Tracks truck stock to ensure needed parts are stocked on vehicle.
* Sustains service vehicle, tools, and uniforms to Tech24 standards.
* Sets a positive example for less experienced and/or new technicians by being a Company advocate.
* Follows all company policies and procedures, particularly regarding safety.
Qualifications:
* Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
* 3-5 years of related experience.
* Superb customer service skills
* Dependable and able to work independently
* Standard computer skills
* Own industry's standard hand tools
* Ability to climb ladders, work from heights, and crawl in tight quarters
* Ability to travel extensively within the region
* Ability to work some nights, weekend, and holidays for on-call rotation with your department (frequency varies with department size)
* Mechanically inclined with a hunger to learn new techniques and approaches
* Previous experience as a commercial HVAC and Refrigeration technician required
* Universal EPA certification is highly preferred.
