Part-time Description
Mariners Training Center (MTC) instructors are responsible for developing and delivering top-level instruction for youth athletes ranging from beginner to advanced and in various instructional programs.
MTC is the proud youth baseball and softball training partner of Major League Baseball.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform skill-specific instruction in our facilities and at fields in and around the community
Build and maintain relationships with athletes, families, and coaches in the community
Deliver age and ability-appropriate content to athletes in the team, camp/clinic, small group, and 1-on-1 settings
Collaborate and co-instruct with other skill-specific instructors
Assist in the preparation, setup, and breakdown of equipment for training programs and events
Attend staff meetings, instructor meetings, and company events, as needed
Requirements
Played and/or coached at the collegiate and/or professional levels
Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills
Ability to follow instructional plans and station rotations tailored for various ages and abilities

Prelicensure Clinical Instructors (Hourly) are subject matter experts who teach and mentor students when engaged in experiential clinical course work; in a remote/onsite environment. This faculty position varies in the type, length, and intensity of instructional methods and is based upon student and facility needs. The Clinical Instructor works on a team to support an assigned group of students and offers specialized instruction on challenging experiential/clinical course work. Faculty interacts with students in both group and one-on-one settings. The Clinical Instructor ensures students are successful within their clinical placement setting as they oversee clinical learning.

This is a part-time, permanent position. This is a great opportunity for an artist who would like to be able to offer classes, but does not have their own studio space to do so.
We are looking for instructors who:
-have the ability to draw realistically
-have the ability to teach realistic drawing classes
-have the willingness to market their classes and build their own student base
Compensation:
FREE Basics: MAKE A Project Classes: Scheduled up to one time per month
Hourly rate plus $3 per student
Advanced Classes: Drawing Classes:
Hourly rate plus $7 per student for 6 students in attendance or less
Hourly rate plus $10 per student for 7 students in attendance or more
*All schedules to be determined between instructor and Michaels store management.
Duration: Classes are two hours in length.
The goal of each class is for students to leave with a finished drawing.
Certification: All Grumbacher art instructors who teach classes at Michaels must become certified through Grumbacher.

The School of Business at Whitworth University invites applications for a tenure-track position as an Instructor or Assistant Professor of Finance. Experienced candidates with exceptional backgrounds will be eligible for the Kenneth Roberts Endowed Professorship in Finance and Accounting.
The Whitworth School of Business (WSB) is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and is committed to providing its students with an outstanding business education. Small class sizes combined with close interaction between students and faculty enable our graduates to learn the essential professional skills and knowledge to successfully compete for positions in today's high-velocity global marketplace. The undergraduate degree program is one of the largest on campus, with an estimated 16% of all Whitworth students choosing to major in business. The school offers both a traditional undergraduate degree in business with concentrations in accounting, economics, finance, management, and marketing, and a unique undergraduate degree completion program in organizational management. The graduate program provides excellent Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Business Leadership (MBL) degrees, and a Master of Science in Financial Planning (MSFP). Faculty members are expected to teach in each of these programs.

Core Responsibilities
Over the course of the past decade, the WSB has developed an exceptional focus in the area of finance. We are looking for someone who can build upon this strong foundation and push the WSB to even greater excellence in the area of financial education, and who is particularly interested in applied finance. Possible courses include corporate finance, derivatives, financial statement analysis, advanced financial statement analysis, and financial management. In addition to teaching, this faculty member will work as the advisor to the Whitworth Student Investment Group (WSIG), mentoring and working closely with students in the club. The WSIG, which is open to all majors at the university, is one of the only student-led investment clubs in the U.S. The CFA team sponsored by WSIG typically wins the Regional CFA Research Challenge and has participated in other competitions in recent years. The new instructor/assistant/associate professor of finance will be expected to serve as the faculty adviser for WSIG and the CFA team.
Other Opportunities and Responsibilities
Candidates with doctorates will be expected to have a research agenda that results in high-quality publications in finance. WSB faculty members must have a minimum of two peer-reviewed journal articles in a five-year period to maintain their Scholarly Academic status. We publish primarily in journals on the ABDC list.
Additional responsibilities include participation in departmental activities and governance, attending faculty assemblies, development days and retreats, serving on committees, and advising.
Qualifications and Core Competencies
* A Ph.D. or DBA in finance, financial economics, or a related field (ABDs will be considered). Individuals with a master's degree who are willing to pursue a doctoral degree are encouraged to apply. If needed, Whitworth University, through a loan program, will support the doctoral education of the selected candidate. Experience in the finance field is valued.
* Evidence of promise in effectiveness at college-level teaching (demonstrated effectiveness preferred)
* Experience with, or interest in, interactive learning, simulations, and case analysis,

Ken Roberts '68 has established an endowed professorship in finance and accounting. After graduating from Whitworth, Roberts received his MBA from Harvard University. Roberts retired from Palouse Capital Management, Inc., an investment advisory company, in 2023 and has had a 53-year investment career.
Experienced and exceptional candidates with superior research, teaching, and service records will be considered for the Kenneth Roberts Endowed Professorship in Finance and Accounting. Research support, a stipend, and reassigned time is included in this professorship.

Commensurate with years of credited service. 1.75% increase to the minimum salary is granted for each year of credited service at the rank of assistant professor.

We are a growing corporation and need an instructor who has experience working with children between the ages of 4 and 18.
The ideal candidate would be a martial artist with considerable skill in an art form compatible with karate and be passionate about teaching martial arts. Also demonstrate outstanding communication skills with children and their parents, which include the ability to use clear, concise, and grammatically correct written and oral language in all aspects of professional interaction with students, their families, peers, the leadership team and the larger community.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
The Martial Arts Instructor is responsible for the supervision of students, giving martial arts-specific instruction, providing a safe and fun learning environment, and serving as a positive role model for students.
Provide daily martial arts instruction to students between the ages of 4 and 18 with different ability levels.
Demonstrate martial arts techniques, explaining the principles behind them, observe and assess students performing martial arts, and give them feedback on their progress.
Group supervision of students with attention to: behavior and group management, health and safety, security, and personal and skill development.
Ensure the safety of students and team members in and out of the martial arts area, and teach safe training habits. Enforce all martial arts rules and regulations.
Organize and prepare daily lesson plans in a fun and creative manner.
